First and foremost, didn't this man take an oath to defend

the Constitution - not the flag. Isn't the 1st Amendment still considered part of that document? Hmmmm...

This fellow was acting against the principles he was trying to uphold. One could call it the - Destroy Liberty to Preserve Liberty Mentality. It is met with logical contradiction from the outset.

He could have easily tried to engage the protesters in a peaceful way. Perhaps begin by calmly asking what the demonstration is all about. After hearing them out, he could have then laid out his position on not only the motivation of the protest, but also how he felt about the flag. If he failed at winning the men over to his way of thinking, he should of went on his way without conflict.

He made himself look like an unreasonable dick by grunting and beating his hands on his chest. Genuine communication is far superior.

He certainly had no right to destroy their property.
