'G Major' harmonica. The 'standard' keying for the diatonic 'blues' harp is 'C' (major) which will run you about 3 bucks at any music store. The method he is using to play is called 'tongue-blocking', meaning that he is playing all the individual notes out of the right side of his mouth by blocking all the notes to the left with his tongue and all the notes to the right of the desired note with his lips where the crease is.
By invitation on this thread I'll put up soon my harmonica instruction method created by yours truly explaining how to play any song you desire, with hands or without. Incidentally I must add that it is actually easier to play without hands than with. The mouth is MUCH more precise than the hand.
