Matt Dillahunty on the label "atheist"

And I have seen you and others assert many times here that "atheist means you propose no god exists."

But this is not the case. And youtube is full of atheists challenging this. If THE ATHEISTS THEMSELVES try to tell the world "that is not our position," how can it be so heavily challenged by theists?

Most every atheist is what is called "an agnostic atheist," which means "I see no good reason to believe the theist claim, but I make no positive claim that GODS DON'T EXIST."

So the general attempt by theists to try to DEFINE THE ATHEIST POSITION is wrong. Most ATHEISTS DO NOT POSITIVELY PROCLAIM THAT NO GODS EXIST.

They just "are not convinced by the theists positive assertion that gods do exist."

THAT IS VERY MUCH DIFFERENT than making a positive claim.

If no theists existed, it would be impossible to get this label "atheist."
