It's an incredibly risky endeavour for anyone trying to crash the price, because you need to be number one where leverage is concerned. Being second best is not enough. And if you lose the leverage battle, you only end up in making the bitcoin system stronger, because with each crash that occurs, some of the new buyers stay behind as long term adopters.

Because the bankers aren't the ones who created the system, the leverage of the banks will always be second place, simply because they weren't the first who invested into the system. The early adopters will always have the greater amount of leverage.
