I am not familiar with PTSD. But I have noticed for any illness that it is very easy to forget your symptoms after you are well again. If you are planning to help others later, it might be useful to jot down what you are feeling now for reference. And any ways that others could help you. ( Share when you are ready.)
I also have no knowledge of VA hospitals, but Denver is one of the last cities I would move to because of the political climate there.
