I suspect that my opinions appear controversial because I tend to view popular issues from a perspective that is seemingly outside the parameters of a desired, controlled message. As such, my comments may, often amusingly, attract equally vitriolic opposition from both sides of the "acceptable" dialectic, in which all arguments ultimately lead to an intended, predetermined, "compromise" solution. Many of us have been conditioned to avoid the conflict inherent to expression of "heretical" thoughts; however, I'm frequently rewarded with the revelation that others can at least appreciate my point of view, if not share my sentiment. So, when inspired to opine, I don't mind saying something different.
