Where were

you today? Hmm, that I'm thinking of it, um, it seems you and jrd were both missing... jk

I didn't mean to sound so elusive. Michael Nystrom mentioned once that he often mistook someone's gender, that it wasn't always easy to tell from comments. When you and I were talking about German class and all, I didn't really think about it, but I got the general impression that you were a guy. And then within the last couple weeks or so something led me to believe that I'd been wrong this whole time. And so, while still vague, the image I then had in mind while communicating with you changed. I kinda thought there was this little tribe within a tribe among the regulars - you, jrd, and me. And then... just the other day, jrd gave the clear impression that you were a guy, after all.

I mean, it's not as if I were in some clothing store dressing room when I realized you were a guy after all lol. I'm sure my comments wouldn't have been different. Still, for the moment, I found it comically unsettling. A song that came to mind was Rebel, Rebel, that I thought might explain it - but... not being sure if someone "is a boy or a girl" is a little different if you're talking about the internet vs. people having face-to-face communication (no less a parent not being able to tell the gender of his own child!), and so I decided it might only make matters worse. lol Well, hope that solves the mystery, Harry. :)
