In fact, the Constitution of the U.S. goes a long way toward protecting individual rights against encroachment by tyrants and rule of the mob. Restoration of enforcement of Constitutional law would go a long way toward protecting the rights of individuals.
It's often said that the Constitution has failed.
It's also said that the Constitution is only a piece of paper.
Pieces of paper cannot defend an Individual's rights.
Pieces of paper cannot even really fail...unless the piece of paper is depended upon to perform duties which are unreasonable, for pieces of paper.
The Constitution depends on support by MORAL men.
My contention is not that the Constitution, a set of guidelines for action, has failed the People; but that the People have failed the Constitution, which is possibly the most individual-empowering governmental document ever to have been produced by the hand of Man.
It's almost inconceivable that there are actually groups of people today who are actively engaged in undermining the Constitution. Seriously...Some people need to take a damn step or two back and think about what the Hell they are promoting.
QUOTATION: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
“A Republic, if you can keep it.”
ATTRIBUTION: The response is attributed to BENJAMIN FRANKLIN—at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, when queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation—in the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention.
My girlfriend was listening to your video and had a relevant comment, regarding "Meaningful Use"; Why are patients asked questions with regard to their Race, Religion, Language, etc., if this information is not intended to be used to discriminate against someone?
Personally, I am mostly in agreement with your sentiment.
There is no reason to deny your obvious racial heritage.
In spite of the fact that you may have been indoctrinated to deny it, you are part of many "collectives", your family, your tribe, your nation, your race. You are part of all of those.
Rather than deny those groups, I suggest one should make it a goal to enrich them.
