Nothing inherently wrong with research. It's a good match for me

I am research scientist/educator with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. I love science because it is the discovery of truth. Politics may play a role in science funding, but it has no role in the actual scientific discovery. My job is not perfectly aligned with my political views, but no job is. I do what I am best at, and I enjoy it very much.

Have you ever taken a Myers-Briggs test? The personality profile that is common for scientists and engineers is also common for libertarians. Look at this story:

If you take the test, many will find they have INTJ result:

Many readers of the Daily Paul will have the same result, and that personality type is found in only 1-2% of the population.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.
