Of all the (private sector) places that I've worked in/for in almost 19 years now, I've never seen a major, owned issue slipping its way into a production system that wasn't expected to be fixed or worked around for the end users within two or three hours, tops.

Months after the go live, they can't even have the dumb thing running. STILL.

Heck, maybe they just need another $600 million to suck on for 3 years? Go figure!
