What Peter isn't telling us is...

the HUGE tariffs on stuff!! A new car in the states may be $40k, but it will cost you nearly $70-75k for the same car in PR. This goes for TVs, construction costs, anything consumable has to be flown in or shipped in and nothing escapes the tariff. Corruption is a big problem. Violent crime is a BIG problem. Things in PR are not all roses as Peter tries to paint it...the Dorado Beach area in which he bought his condo..."normal" people can't afford to even drive by and look at it! LOL $1M wouldn't buy you a broom closet there.
So yes, Peter's right that it would be a sort-of tax haven for the uber-wealthy, but it's not for the Average Joe.
