I Can't Speak For Chile ...

...but I suspect they all pretend to uphold incorruptiblity.

I recall an experience where a new brand of traffic trooper was installed in my wild west, as a law enforcement branch of higher training and standards. When one of these new fangled robo cops started in on his CHIPS on the shoulder routine, retaining my US drivers license which I needed as photo ID for my flight the next day, I went to the next intersection to find his supervisor, arranged for the local who was with me to bribe the boss first to get the license back, and then paid double to have the supervisor kick SuperTrooper's officious ass for instant poetic justice. Priceless.
