Ethical decisions that happen everyday....

If you could stop a runaway train from going over a ravene, by pulling a lever, thus saving 300 people,

Are any of the 300 on the runaway train children? How did you know there were 300 people on the train? What if they were all over 90 years old? What if Mao was a hero to them all? What if Ron Paul was on the train?

but the lever sent the train down a different track on which 3 children were playing, what do you do?

What if those children had cancer and were only going to live another six months? Unless the children were deaf they would hear the train and get off the tracks? Even if they were deaf they would feel the vibrations and get off the tracks.

Win-win solution, send the train towards the children!
