To the contrary

To the contrary, a "Christian" is currently given absurd levels of preference in America today.

The state has incorporated "In God We Trust" on the currency and coin.

"God Bless America" is a de facto 'secondary national anthem', while the "Star Spangled Banner" incorporates the following in its final verse:

"O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"

School children pledge allegiance to the Flag and to God.

When one testifies in court, they "swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God".

These are but A FEW of the many, many examples of religious "tradition" that have insidiously and unconstitutionally seeped into our system of government. It is ludicrous that this has been not only allowed, but codified by the state.

Notions that Christians are unfairly persecuted in America are absurd and unfounded.
