How is this less than clear to you people? The government is not your church. Why is it less an offering to God if it's silent and it's on your own time?

The entire point of a prayer out loud with the others silent is to enforce a grouping effect on the people present. If you want to pray while I attend and scream at the top of my lungs while making fart noises and banging pots and pans together, I guess it's no big deal. But if you're forcing me to stand by silently and listen, then you're infringing on my rights at the time.

Free exercise only applies as long as you aren't infringing on others. Would you be fine with me blasting rock music through a speaker during the prayer?

"Yet it's expected that when prayer is offered and men who oppose faith are offended, I guess it's because there is a God and man is as He stated in enmity with Him."

Translated: If I say something illogical and there are those who don't agree with me call me on it, then I guess the thing I'm saying is absolutely correct, because those people are obviously wrong. And God hates them.
