How did you know I was referring to his treatment of Phil?

How did you know I was referring to his treatment of Phil?

I may have been referring to Bob's desire to kill animals or his preference for large breasts to be immoral.

But perhaps it's really easy to recognize that the murder of Phil is immoral in an obvious, non-subjective, non-relativistic kind of way.

(I did mean immoral, not amoral, and apologize for the sloppy English)

I'm nitpicking, but you're adding more context to your original story. It's not described in the OP that Bob is following the rites and norms of the group. For all we know, he snatched Phil from his bed and is a sadist.

I don't think it matters though. If we can't see a murder as being immoral on any consistent basis, we can just throw our hands up on the whole topic and start praying to god for answers. But maybe that's where you wanted to go in the first place.
