Let's get real

There is NO CAPITALISM in the world as we know it today. People are getting their panties in a wad over defending something that doesn't exist. Just as the poor soldiers that think they are "fighting for our freedoms" are out there getting killed for "freedoms" that no longer exists.... so, all of the Fox News junkies are upset and defending a "capitalist" system that no longer exists. Just more illusion used to divide and conquer the slaves.

Frankly in our lifetimes probably NONE of us has seen true free-market capitalism. What has been running the entire world for the last hundred years (minimum) has been corporatism and government/corporate partnerships. This has been even MORE true in the rest of the world, but the US is really no exception.

So... if the Pope used the WORD "Capitalism" (and I would have to read the speech to see), it is corporatism and government corruption that he is talking about. When looking at it like that (which is the way most of US see the world every day), then he is merely pointing out the glaring disparity between the elites and the slaves that EXISTS throughout the world.

Liberals hear what they want.... as do "Conservatives". But the essence of what the Pope said is what we talk about every day here on DP.

Hope that helps, Pawnstorm
