I just read the

article you posted. Here is a quote from it.

This reminded me of a book on studying which I bought years ago.

What Smart Students Know - Adam Robinson

Adam has a good process for working with your notes, rewriting, condensing, and simplifying the material to making it your own. He used this process to obtain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the material versus using rote memory.
