I would hate to be in the real minority on an issue.

Therefore, I might stick to Creation vs Evolution (haven't taken a formal side on YEC vs OEC yet) or maybe Faith vs Unbelief. I truly don't have the stomach to deal with the Israel issue: but will state here my position, which frankly, is not too far from the position held by Andrew Jetton.

1) No nation should be receiving foreign aid from our government. If we cannot take care of own infrastructure, why should the government spend money overseas?

2) Israel has the right to conventionally defensible borders. (as do other nations that do not target non-combatants in other nations, nor go after the unarmed and defenseless in other nations as a rule)

3) Great Britain did both the Palestinians and the Israelis a great wrong when it broke its word to both groups.

4) Nations can be considered our friends (a Thomas Jeffersonian 'honest friendship') without either receiving financial aid or our being required to defend everything they do.

5) In fact, an honest friendship sometimes requires us to call a friend out for harmful behavior, whether it harms herself or others, but the other party should be given the benefit of the doubt unless facts leave not a shadow of a doubt.

"Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern." ~~C.S. Lewis
