Maybe that's a good thing... about not growin' corn no mo'

When the news was posted here at the DP that Mexico had banned GMO corn, I didn't appreciate this negative comment by js290 saying, "Corn isn't that great. Not sure non-GMO corn is much better,"... even with its more positive sounding conclusion, "Maybe should try for a sustainable, perennial source of starch." :(

Plus, I thought it was a little nervy to give no further hint, even, of an explanation... unless the reader was willing to make a TWO AND A HALF HOUR time investment (!) to watch the linked video. Yeah, get real, I thought. But my curiosity got the better of me. And... wow!
