with republicans, after all he is one. the neo cons will not be won over and will plot against him unless he concedes some ground. it would be smarter, but also almost as difficult to work on a left/right convergence with progressives who look to nader and kucinch (both who has worked with ron). esp on foreign policy, NSA, ending the patriot act. etc

the libertarian party will not grow without supporters and people who vote for its candidate. i like to take a long view, and I think ron paul's idea of spreading the message, of winning the intellectual revolution and pressing for education is the best way to freedom. no politician will change washington on their own, but the people could make them, eventually.
