I think you should read Revelation before you make comments. You're confusing the beast with the dragon.

The beast of Revelation was killed, along with the false prophet (the pharisees). The dragon, the "ancient serpent," the devil (Rev. 20), was bound for a thousand years so he cannot deceive the world (meaning he cannot stop the Gospel from spreading).

In other words, we're in the millennium and Christ reigns now. The beast of Revelation, Nero, the great persecutor of the Apostles, has been dead for centuries. The dragon is the devil, who is very much alive but, as I said, not able to stop the Gospel.
