and MS is neurological degeneration usually coming from an improper diet; its that simple.

Get nutritious foods instead of the Standard American Diet. Don't eat anything refined. A diet moderate in protein (20%), high in saturated fat (70%), and low in carbohydrates (10%)work well for neurological problems. This is called a ketogenic diet; google it and read all you can about it.
And more articles about MS and a ketogenic diet:
Specifically important are vitamin K2, A, D3 (get 1/2 to 1 hour of sun daily), B1, B6, B9, B12, C, and the minerals iodine, selenium, sulfur (MSM), selenium, and magnesium. Also important are Omega 3 fatty acids, creatin, and co-enzyme Q10.
Eat absolutely NO foods that contain or are cooked in seed oils. These are Omega 6 fats that are refined out of seeds using chemicals, heat, and pressure. Examples are corn oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, soy oil, etc. They suppress immune function; they interfere with thyroid function; and they breakdown into a toxic aldehyde resulting in damage in cells from oxidation. Instead, use coconut oil and to a lesser extent good quality olive oil.
That all being said, I would get a second opinion on the diagnosis. From what was described, I would be suspicious that the symptoms are something acute rather than a degenerative disease which tends to progress more slowly.
