I agree, there's hope

When a community say 'enough!' then there can be change. That seemed to have happened last night.

The police are too compromised. Their agenda is confused, their honesty is questionable. The drip of information from the cops has been maddening, and with all of the information about police brutality and overreaction, I can see why there would be deep distrust by the black community.

Keeping the police out removes a flash point. Seems counter-intuitive, but communities can enforce standards of behavior between neighbors than any central authority can with all the guns, MRAPS, and bullet proof vests Federal money can buy.

I'm kinda glad the officer in charge is Ron Johnson. There is something about him that exudes wisdom....maybe it's...the name?
