Consider "the tragedy of the commons." If the Daily Paul becomes "public property," you will see spammers, hucksters and trolls of every variety. You've been playing the Whack-A-Mole game for years, and you KNOW what's waiting for the website, sans moderators. If you're looking to make a graceful exit, don't just leave the door open behind you; give the keys to some more of the folks you trust to moderate the site as you would wish.
