It Ain't about Hunting

It is to secure a free state. And of course, in this context, a "free state" means a condition of liberty. If the 2nd Amendment were about the privilege of States to organize armed forces, then "state" would have been capitalized, and the passage would have read "the right of the States" rather than the "right of the people...shall not be infringed."

I hope this shameless bump for this supremely important post is not too transparently obvious.
