Who I am

TmofMiisk here

I am just 42 Years Young

From Utah

I am a Retired Army veteran, and I uphold and support the constitution of the United States in a different way now. Go Ron Paul
I am a Freelance writer Fantasy Fiction and a Project manager for a Construction and Development Firm

I was a head in the sand Republican until I retired that is when I became interested in politics, wanting to stay “active” in keeping America strong. As I began to learn more about the constitution and what was going wrong with the government, I became an independent/constitutionalist. Kind of sad that a 20-year veteran never realized how corrupted the government was.

My sister has been involved with the Constitution Party for a long time now and as I learned and we spoke Dr. Paul’s name came up I did some research and was impressed and I was thrilled beyond measure when I found out he was running for president. Like others here, this is the first time I have ever given money to a political candidate. As a single father raising my two children without any other support I am on a strict budget, and it is not an easy task to part with $100.00 + the $200.00 I’ve pulled together for the 16th.

What we do now my friends is just one step in a long journey to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.

God Bless

What do you do?

I assume I do whatever every other american does. I seek what makes me happy. Oh where you refering to my job? I am a very successful daytrader / SwingTrader / Investor.

What’s your political history?

Pretty much hatred until I ran into Ron Paul! Although I did vote against Bush in the last election because I did see his evil, munipulative, I want to rule the world side. I also won a huge bet when he was first nominatd for president betting on him going into Iraq for a war! (this was a give 'me bet as far as I am concerned)

What brought you to Ron Paul?

I watched a debate because its part of what I do as my job. I was watching just fiddling around as usual expecting the usual horse crap that gets spilled out by the crooks.(YES, I said Crooks!) Then I heard Ron Paul while not paying attention and my brain basically said WTF! I thought I was watching a movie or on some drug I did'nt intentionally take. I have hated Politics to the umteenth degree for most of my adult life, but to find a man speaking the truth, just flat out astonished me. If Dr. Paul becomes our President I honestly would'nt know what to do with myself.

Maybe just maybe I could persue my dreams without the GOV trying to run my life!

What’s your political history? None - always felt I was voting for the lesser of two evils

What brought you to Ron Paul?
I've always traveled the world extensively. The more I traveled the more I realized that things could be so much better here. So I never felt like voting for a corrupt politician. The straw that broke the camels back was when I married my wife a few months ago. She is from Europe (an EU member country). We started the paperwork to change her status here and in the process I felt really unappreciated by the federal government. They even flat out told us that if they "decide" to deny the request that she will be immediately deported from the country since her visa was nullified when we submitted our paperwork. I happen to recall that the primaries were coming up....so I started checking into the candidates. And here I am now. :-)

Glad to see so many here helping.

I guess...

What’s your political history? Youngest in family that was very active in Libertarian politics. Worked on all of Dick Randolph's campaigns, the first Libertarian to be elected to a statewide office and often wonder what a Shangri La Alaska would be if we had elected him governor. (For any Alaskans reading this you can thank Mr Randolph for the Permanant fund dividends and no state income tax from his time in Juneau. Jay Hamond stepped in and took credit when passage was inevitable). Went from hearing my dads rants after reading his John Birch Society books and thinking "no it can't be that way, politicians can't be that bad" to now being old enough to say "Wow,it is MUCH worse," and worried like hell for the future of my three kids.

What brought you to Ron Paul? I had read articles by and about him from a pretty young age. I got to interview him for the school paper when I was at Chico State and he treated me like I was from The NY Times. He was my first presidential vote in '88. Voted for anyone but Clinton or Bush since. Registered Republican now, we have closed primaries. Changing the Republican party (or picking up the pieces after it implodes if no change in current direction) seems easier to me than trying to create a new party although I am very libertarian. Sorry this is so wordy, I hate long posts. Finally, I wish my dad who died a couple years ago could see the video of thousands of screaming supporters of Dr Paul. He and I would have never believed there are so many who truely value freedom.
Ron Paul, Hope for America, the most perfect slogan ever.

born and raised yellow dog democrat. Wised up when they shot George Wallace when he was tromping hell out of the democrat primary field. Turned to repubs for a while till the end of 'nam. Voted for Bush Jr the first time, then since Satan was not running in 2004, and therefore I couldn't vote for the lesser of the evils, I wrote in mickey mouse.

What brought you to Ron Paul?
Known about Dr. Paul for nearly 25 years. Originally heard of him via the now defunct Spotlight newspaper. (Its called the American Free Press now, suggest you suscribe, you won't be dissapointed)

Hell yeah I'm on Social Security and Medicare, but I sure as hell wished I could have opted out 30 years ago. I can still work and support myself. I never trusted mortgages nor bankers.

I don't need SS, because I planned for not having it, and I am working my ass off to give all you young people out there the chance to get out of debt and drop SS. Of course, I am doing it for my 5 kids and 6 grandkids, too.

Occupation: In school for computer programming, though my eventual goal is international rock-stardom.

I don't really have a political history given my age, but I was raised to think republicans are evil, welfare is the greatest thing on earth, and I should vote for whomever seems the nicest and promises the most.

After all that I'm not sure how I ended up an absolute conservative, but I did. So many months ago when I went online to find out who I was voting for, the first candidate who's wiki I clicked on was Paul's, and lo and behold he just happened to stand for every ideal I had.

Im 40 years old

Im a 40 year old machinist who never voted before ,this is because I didnt care about politics and didnt feel my vote could help change america But as ive gotten older and realized how our government has gotten out of control , I began to worry about the future of our country. Then I discoverd Ron Paul .A man who also sees our country going down hill and wants to do somthing about it, hes the best thing to happen in politics for a very long time I just hope the rest of America can see how much we need Paul to take the reigns and lead this country back where she belongs, America WAKE UP AND VOTE FOR RON youll be glad you did...oh and im from Alabama

Who am I?

How Old? - 53
Where From? - Born Long Island NY, Adult life Texas
What do I do? - Retired
Political History - Political maverick. Thought for years I was the only one who felt this way. Grew up in old style fiscally conservative Republican family (Wall Street). Last time I voted for Republican Presidential candidate was 1972 when Nixon promised to end Viet Nam war. First read about CFR in mid 70's. Bothered me immensely then and still does. Have voted for candidates not affiliated with CFR since then.
What brought me to Dr. Paul? - He's my Congressman. Voted for him in '88. Have read Rudy's reading list.

Does this country deserve Ron Paul?

Age: Half a century... egads!
From: Pacific NW
Job: Agriculture
Political History: Raised Republican... ugh... voted for Bush in 2000. I didn't repeat that mistake, thank goodness. Changed to Constitution Party. Voted on principal. Swore I'd never, ever vote again... unless someone like Ron Paul came along.... sure enough, he decided to run, but I sat back waiting to see what kind of support he was going to get and to see if he "flip-flopped. Did the research and the only thing I can find that he has changed on is the Death Penalty. I decided to go ahead and support him, changed back to Republican (uh, that so leaves a bad taste in my mouth!) But Ron Paul is worth it.

So far, I agree on every issue, yep, every cotton pickin issue. I pray he gets the nomination and wins the general. We so need to get this country back on track. People just don't understand what freedom means anymore. They are sooooo shallow. Won't vote him cause of minor issues like abortion. (not to say its not important, it is) BUT get the big issues solved first, like bring our troops home and decrease the debt. Get rid of IRS and give competition to the Fed.

They don't understand that the foreign policy is connected to the domestic policies. If the Empire continues in the direction of complete destruction, the last thing people are going to be worrying about is abortion issues. They'll be trying to find food and shelter and staying out of detainment camps. If they try to dissent, they'll be hauled off as domestic terrorist. They had better wake up and soon.

Having another wake up party on Dec. 16th, disguised as a Tea Party! Wooo Hooo! Can't wait!

Like many Libertarians my age, Ron Paul is something of a folk hero to me. When I found out that he was going to seek the Republican nomination back in January, supporting him was a no-brainer. Although I haven't voted since 1992, I am now a registered Republican and potential delegate from Alabama. I can hardly believe it myself!

I love this man, proudly, unashamedly. There is no one as decent and courageous in all of Washington, DC. It is my great privilege to have met him, and it is my great honor to be a part of this world-changing Revolution.

I just turned 20, and I'm from Indianapolis, IN. I'm a mechanical engineering major at Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute, IN. I've considered myself a libertarian since high school and was brought to Ron Paul because I had never before heard of such an honest and kind politician. I look forward to voting in my first presidential election in 2008, hopefully for Dr. Paul!

I'm a translator.

I've always considered myself an independent but i've always been for small government, fiscal conservatism, and always been middle of the road in social issues.

noninterventionism brought me to Ron Paul. My wife and I lived in Egypt shortly after we were married, and we had the opportunity to meet and talk with hundreds of Arabs about politics. I feel like finally we have a candidate who talks sense about the Middle East.

Would you help us with your input on the Arab view of the US

you and your wife gained while living in Egypt? I found that to be so interesting especially due to Dr. Paul's statements on "blowback" having become such an issue.

Would you be willing to videotape a short explanation about what you learned in Egypt and give us permission to use it in an infomercial to be aired by Meet-up Groups on their local public access channels? I think it would help people to hear the viewpoint of the Arab in the street.

It might help you to go to the thread on Infomericals and read the posts to get some idea of what we have in mind. You can post your reply to this post on that thread. The date today is 12/12/07. I don't know when you might see this, but please get back to us as soon as you do. We don't have much time to get this together in time to get it out before Iowa, Jan. 3rd.

Thank you,

Our entire family has been republican, right wing parents but more moderate in our household. We are all sick of the ause of the tax dollar, reglations on businesses, teachers wages, workplace drug testing with no probable cause.

Ron Paul seeks to make major changes, in business and life when things are going the wrong direction you do not "stay the course" or you find yourself in the situation we find ourselves in today. Loss of civil liberties and insane laws directed straight at the American people, but ust a reminder IT WAS NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT CONDUCTED 9/11.

What’s your political history? -Republican - hmmm, Always liked Pat Buchanan. Always voted (since 18 -Republican and in the Primaries- except once -I think I voted for A Dem. Governor (she was really a Conservative -the Republican was the "Liberal".)
What brought you to Ron Paul? Wow - long journey ... IN May my brother sent me the "Freedom to Fascism" link - watched most of it but didn't get to finish it - had to go to my son's game - all summer (asked myself WHO THE HELL am I going to vote for ... ???) didn't watch any of the debates completely disgusted with the 'shills' ... then saw a link on You-tube with Pat B. - Ron Paul was his candidate - I said hmmm.... kept going on with my busy summer - August comes around - I actually watch some of the debate (got in the middle of it and caught the part about Ron Paul getting rid of the IRS and the Constitution- and I WAS LIKE who the Hell is this?) Then I brought him up with some "Repubs" friends at work and one guy says - "He's a MOONBAT." - I said no way is that guy a Moonbat, and researched him... Then I went to hear him speak - and I gave him $17.76 (my first donation ever to a candidate)... I always thought "MY VOTE is all you are getting"!!!!!

"Many of us agree that you and I have no right to use coercion against people who don't owe us anything. The same prohibition applies to groups of people who constitute the government. The reason is simple: unjust acts do not become just when legalized."

Check this out - someone made a Ron Paul LEGO MOSAIC out of more than 6000 individual pieces! Absolute masterpiece! Apparently, parts of the proceeds go towards the official campaign, so let's get this guy some exposure! Why are you promoting this? I have seen you post it like 8 times now. This is a private sale, not a fund raiser, as Canadians can't donate to the campaign. if I am right, it is appaling, if I am wrong please accept my apology.
