Does anyone find it odd that figures show China has over 4x population

of the U.S. but the U.S. CO2 emission is 2.3 million tonnes more than China? China has the most polluting cars and factories in the world not to mention the animals it takes to feed 1.3 billion people. The U.S. imports more $266 billion more than it exports to China, most is manufacturing, the U.S. has lost a huge amount of manufacturing which is where most CO2 emissions are born. Did you ever wonder how a country as large and as backward as China, how they can calculate the CO2 emissions? Do you remember the China Olympics, they shut down thousands of factories for hundreds of miles to clean the air? I think they are pulling these numbers out of their arse.

I don't believe the C02 is a problem, but pollution could definitely become a problem. In the 70's and 80's Los Angeles was pollution hell. The smogging of cars and emission standards has helped with that issue in those large metropolitan areas.

Then you find the buoyancy - density of air times the volume

Then add the 0.3 g + 1.14 = 1.44 g - this is the weight of CO2.

For an estimate from the fuel you use. .

Say you use 44 kg of propane. Propane burns according to the equation:

C3H8 + 5 O2 ==> 3CO2 + 4H2O

So you get 3 molecules of CO2 for every one of propane. Propane is 44 g/ mole so there are 1000 moles of C3H8, and therefore 3000 moles of CO2. CO2 is also 44g/mole, and so (44x3) 132 kg of CO2 is produced.

This can be done with any fuel.
