NY Times: No Superhighway exists

I remember the first time our U.S. President George Bush (the senior) used the phrase "New World Order". That caused me to have chills running down my spine at the time.

Robert Pastor was interviewed by Jerome Corsi concerning the North American Union. By the way, Robert Pastor is a CFR member who is considered the main architect of the North American Union.

I really can't believe that MSM would try to blatently lie like that. CNN is officially an irrelevant tabloid.Mainstream media is dead.

You know, this is a fairly good example of how bureaucrats and politicians use words to deceive the public and shape opinion.

Technically, this statement is correct "...Federal and state highway and trade officials and transportation consultants reacted Thursday with befuddlement and amusement. The fearsome secret international highway project Paul described does not exist, they said...".

If they had simply said : ...the international highway project..., then they would have been been guilty of lying. But it is accurate to say that a "secret highway" does not exist.

The highway is a well known fact.

Print out the page referenced below and show it to people with whom you discuss this issue. The page shows a map of the fabled NAFTA Superhighway. This map is published by the folks who are lobbying for the construction of this chimerical thoroughfare.

The map used to be a lot bigger and was on the front page of the site. I wonder why they changed it? You can easily see how products from China will be shipped to Mexican ports, placed on Mexican tucks and allowed a free pass straight into the heart of the United States. It's not good for American labor and it's not good for American security.

This thread may or may not have been bogus. It may or may not have intended to obfuscate the issue. I don't know. I don't know who GW is or what his motivations are. What I got out of it is an education on the subject. I am not stupid! I can read and fact-check. There is so much smoke, so much bull out there and I can't possibly pay attention and read about all of it. But the service that GW has done for me is to jerk my chain to educate myself. So my conclusion? Dr. Paul does know what he is talking about. There is a highway "project" on the boards, under construction, in various stages of completion, planning, under whatever jurisdiction or name... it matters not. There is highway project whose purpose is clear to me. If three countries are going to joint in whatever form, for whatever purpose, what's more natural infrastructure than a highway? Thank you GW and all the rest of you folks for the education.

I live in South Texas and I drive a part of the highway daily. In fact the street I live on intersects with it. If one would like to see the highway under construction use Google Earth and search Laredo, TX.. Start at the border and fly North. The images are out of date as the overpasses shown in that section of the highway are now complete.

It gives me great pleasure to be one of Ron Paul's paranoid nut cases.

Just because groups are not govermental does not mean that their lobbies do not have HUGE impact on the laws of our nation.

I think the process is that congress votes to get out of NAFTA, then give notice, and the process takes a few months? Dr. Paul would know, and it is questions like THIS that the media should be asking at debates, NOT which ball team they support, or if they own guns! (The answer to that one should be None Of Your Business!)

Certain doom is nigh... and this is much better than 9/11, because the emotional charge is a lot less and there is plenty of indisputable written evidence.

The concept for the highway IS in the NAFTA trade agreement. But they CALL it something else, so if you ask your congressman (as I did a year ago) about the "NAFTA superhiway", he can tell you with pompous authority that there is NO such thing! Thennn he told me there WAS highways being built as a public-private partnership, as if the federal government had NOTHING to do with it, which is not so!

Please note: The Security and Prosperity Partnership can be found at www.spp.gov . That is Dot GOV, which means it is a GOVERNMENT website!

The Mexican Ports of Entry are being built in Kansas City, far from the actual border. I think there is now a toll road in the eastern states owned by a foreign government, and a foreign government is involved in the trans-Texas Corridor.

Don't be surprised if the NAME of the project continues to change, because then they can assure you that you are a complete nutty, conspiracy theorist if you ask about it.

As someone who has actually driven on Interstate 69, let me assure you it is very real.

The interstate is 4 lanes in either direction, not counting the emergency lane or breakdown lane, if I remember correctly. By comparison, I-55 in North Mississippi is only two lanes in each direction.

I-69 will run all the way from Texas to Canada, it is part of the "Trans-Texas Corridor".

Our sell-out Governor has already started the process of building it south and onward from Indy too. He has sold our portion of the I80 Indiana Toll Road to foreign investors for $Billions$ already too.

I75 from Miami and Naples, FL straight to Detroit, MI (another Canadian Port of Entry) is already designated as another "trade route". The whole western coast of Florida will become even more major import ship ports than they are now.

I live in San Antonio. Everyone down here knows about the Trans-Texas Corridor and how people are losing their land to imminent domain.

If they want proof of a Superhighway, all they have to do is ask people along US 59 here in Texas.
