Are people who use twitter "twits"?
Submitted by MikeLawson on Sat, 07/25/2009 - 18:24
It reminds me of the digg. It's all personality marketing mining. But the sheep gobble it up.
I guess I'm weird, but I don't care what people are up to right now and I don't care to report my every move either.
Does it seem like a weird thing to anyone else?

i thought they
were twats?

I am suspicious
I am suspicious of Twitter, and who really owns it etc...
CNN and the big media were all pumping Twitter during the Iran fiasco. All sorts of red flags went up when I saw that.
Almost Right
They're "Ni-twits"
I have started using twitter recently (6 weeks) 461 followers!!

Alright, you talked me into it. I'm a twit now, too...

The upside is that I can now follow Shelly Roche. And I'd follow her anywhere...

Farm girl, super mind, loves freedom, understands the world, has graphics skills, web-savvy, well-spoken, and friggin gorgeous! Wow. I want her to come join my DC team.

and it would be 100% organic.;o)
I didn't take Twitter
I didn't take Twitter seriously until the Iran election fiasco started. It was a powerful tool for protesters to organize and spread information despite the government's attempts to quell the rioting. Just something to keep in mind should we ever find ourselves in a similar situation where the government is trying to crack down and filter information. Or if there's a major, fast-breaking event; I trust Twitter details from witnesses on the scene than the MSM's spin. I wonder if 9/11 would have been handled differently if there were thousands of people providing instant, unfiltered updates on the situation rather than trusting and relying on the MSM filter for details.
Now for the people who feel the need to update people on the minutiae of their lives, yeah, I don't get that either...
How does the saying go?
Being well adjusted to a sick society is not a sign of mental health.
Now join me in reciting the non-conformist's oath.
I promise to be different!
I promise to be unique!
I promise not to repeat what other people say!
I can't call it but
WELL the MSM uses it.
YES, good people do good things.. The rest are liars.
see to your liberty
I have started using twitter recently
I like it to post links to good info. Very easy and quick. Also I can go back and easily find a link for future reference. Check out mine at the link below and see how I use it.
One thing I have noticed is that when you post a link to DP it shows the whole link and you can see DailyPaul unlike most links that get shortened. Good way to help get the DP name out there. How effective it is or will be, only time will tell.
