Rudy who.........?
With all the press support ole Rudy gets, I'm surprised to see the lack of interest in him - from all regions. So it's not an anomoly. No wonder he's passing on the Iowa poll coming up. It looks like a few of the candidates are sputtering under the unrelenting and unflappable wisdom of Dr. Paul. My concern would be Fred in the long run. When the elitists and their media puppets conclude that Dr. Paul is the man to beat, they'll pull out all the stops to throw support to Fred (by default) because the one thing they don't want is Dr. Paul. I just hope Dr. Paul keeps picking up support from newly awakening Americans who still have hope in real freedom.
Flubber Thompson won't survive
.
Fred "Flubber" Thomson has fallen short of his campaign fund-raising goals and even former supporters are backing away. This is due to his rather shady past as a lobbiest, his support of Aristide--the murderous Haitian despot--and his flip-flopping on issues such as abortion.
As well, Michael Moore (whom I do not care for) asked Thompson some pointed questions about health care, which Thompson side-stepped; it was easier to attack Moore personally than to answer the questions.
What is heartening, however, is that more and more people are moving toward Ron Paul.
By the way.. !
THERE WILL BE A DEBATE OF THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES THIS SUNDAY MORNING ON ABC WITH OUR OLD FRIEND GEORGE 'THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN' STEPHANOPOLOUS.
Check It Out For Yourself
Recalling basic marketing, the AIDA Promotion Model includes: Attention (capture it); Interest (hold it); Desire (arouse it); and Action (obtain it).
When I surf to the Google Trends site and select various areas (states and cities) that have fairly liberal leanings, the indicators for Dr. Paul seem to be very high. I interpret this as: Dr. Paul has their Attention.
Dr. Paul seems to capture and hold the Interest of everyone who listens to him.
Next comes the Desire for liberty; who does not have that?!
Finally: ACTION; vote in your local primary to ensure Dr. Paul is nominated!
Not significant
.
Because a person searches a candidate, this does not correlate into support or votes; but it does show curiosity.
I think that perhaps many of us RP supporters have taken a look at the other candidates to see what they are up to--and this is a good thing.
But I don't think the graphs mean anything important. It's the straw polls, the primaries, and the votes that matter most.
i`m optimistic
i have looked at other candidates websites, they don`t scare me.to hear Dr.paul speak inspiring...i`m learning to type
Crashed
This site is crashed. Is "blue" the best? What is this color-coded contest all about?
Potential problem?
If you take out the candidates first names, which I think is a reasonable assumption one would do if doing a google search of these candidates, except for Ron Paul (Because Paul is an incredibly common name), Thompson comes out ahead... way ahead. Good news though is that the other candidates still don't come close.
Of course it's difficult to gauge whether it's for fred thompson (people just being too lazy to type in the whole name) or if thompson just happens to be a well searched name as well. Comments?
Thompson Twins
There are two possible Thompsons they could be searching for. Also, you have no idea if the words Paul or Thompson are being searched for as candidates.
Fred is no threat to Ron's base, but he is to Rudy's and Mitt's.
Fred will spike but then end up fading away like the rest because people are already sick of them..
Just look at Rudy and Mitt and their gun policies! Oh my disgraceful.
One of the members of the Nashua Meetup just made up an exquisite tri-fold on just that issue alone and I will carry it with me to all GOP events.
Other Thompsons
It would be incredibly useful if google had a way to display the search terms used most often with a word. It would me a good idea on why Thompson is so popular.
Anyway, I've been playing around with this thing for a while, trying different combinations that could even tangentially refer to Fred, and I just don't see the results. It seems as though it's just a common name that everyone searches for.
But who searches "Paul,"
But who searches "Paul," anyway? It's too vague of a name. I'm a hard-core Paulite and still refer to him as "Ron Paul" pretty much 95% of the time.
