Burnt-out, broke, tired, and unprepared?

in the last days.......men's hearts will fail them from fear.

we need to be worried more about the next world and less about this one....its obviously perishing in front of us.

I live it every day and night..24/7..365..no vacations from it.
I cant work due to a chronic illness..(FMS amoung other things)
My husband had his hours cut from between 42-46hrs wk to no more than 35 hrs wk....hes over 50..hard enough to get a good job in your 20s but in your 50s? Forget it in this county. Its a struggle just to pay basic bills.
My daughter and idiot in law (her husband) work for the state of NC.
The state is making them work an extra 5-10 hrs a wk WITHOUT pay.
Their insurance went up..And they to had to walk away from their house.
Its not that I dont know we should be getting ready, buying food, water, gold, silver, a tent maybe...I really do know we need it...But like so many others...we just cant do it.

Freedom is another way to God...A corrupt government is a straight way to hell.

to get my family to understand what is really happening. They finally got the message when they started losing a lot of money in the market. Thankfully, we are now preparing as a family and this whole crisis has brought us closer(aaaaawwww!).

I have learned that you cannot change somebody's mind right away when it comes to explaining today's dire situation. It takes a specific event in a person's life for them to really understand what is happening. Plant the info seeds today and once the conditions are right, the people that laughed at you will be the first ones asking you how to prepare for the upcoming mess. Don't give up!

They are pretty good on being prepared as far as supplies, they have always gardened and stored up things. But, I haven't had much success in trying to get them to invest in something besides the dollar. My mother still insist on buying my son a 50 dollar savings bond each month. I told her that we really appreciate it, but if she wants to get him something get him a 1/20th or 1/10 ounce of Gold, or some Silver instead of the paper. But, she still thinks that things will be okay with the Bonds. Food & supply wise and being able to do for themselves they'll be fine, it just worries me that they have so much tied up in "money that doesn't exist"

My in-laws, are good folks but they have nothing to eat in the house, they eat out all the time, my wife and I have tried to talk them into getting some supplies, but they just laugh it off and say they'll come stay with us. He did buy a 20 gauge shot gun though.

I have 4 friends that I have been friends with since we were in 1st or 2nd grade, I haven't talked to them lately, but I think that they all will be good.

I can't get my family to prepare. Quite frankly, if anything happens and there is no food, etc. I can't see myself not sharing what I have w/them which will last only about a day and half for everyone. I guess this is part of their plan. I'm still keeping my eye on the horizon w/hopes of seeing the glimmer of a positive light. Nonetheless, I'll keep on keeping-on until I'm dead!

I cannot move from where I am as a result of a divorce agreement...my youngest is 16 and his dad is mostly asleep. What little I had managed to save has been eaten up in the last yr since the ex lost his job and has not paid child support since last August. 26 yr old son is back at home after losing his job and home. I talk to people and they don't seem to want to wake up. 3 hrs of sleep at night is now the norm.... Burnt-out, broke, tired, unprepared and for the first time in my life.......just plain SCARED.

We're probably mentally prepared. More than most. But you're right I doubt my family and I would do very well in the long run.
However, and this is really cool. I am about to make a deal on a mountain property. It's looking good, so far. There is game, the property backs up to a clean river (I'd have about 300 feet of direct access). There are TWO homes on the property, both inhabitable and nearly immaculate. My wife and I are really excited, and a little nervous. The price is very low, because the owner just wants to dump it. Cross your fingers for me, maybe I'll invite when the SHTF!

I feel like I am the only one in my family that is keeping watch and trying to get them to prepare!

I had a weird dream 3 nights ago .. Rahm Emmanuel was my Doctor and he was wearing a white lab coat, shirt and tie and boxers ( no pants! hmm...maybe that is his tapping foot on the ad down below? lol! ) Anyway...he gave me a spinal tap without anesthesia ..it hurt but I couldn't move or scream!! Later I was approached by him at a cocktail party ( he was still dressed in the lab coat and boxers lol! ) and he was trying to get me to drink a purple martini with an eyeball in it instead of an olive! Weird, huh!
