Batman vs. Joker: Another poster to stick up

For those of you plastering your city with those Obama Joker Socialist posters, consider posting up another one to complete the Problem -> Solution message. I was given this to spread around and hopefully see it put to some use. Feel free to spread it yourself and if you have any critiques please share them.

Here is the link to the Ron Paul Batman Poster:

some really good news to report

last night I walked 3 main streets in downtown Toronto Canada saw at least a hundred Obama Joker posters on newspaper boxes lamposts construction barriers even mail boxes and subway entrances...it made me feel really good.

"Our planet is the mental institution for the universe."
-- Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
"Maybe this world is another planet's hell."
-- Aldous Huxley

That poster

is so freaking cool!

Ron looks great as Batman, but it's a crappy idea

Ron doesn't need the racism charge. It was bad enough that he had to defuse the newsletters that were ghost written for him. Ron stands for freedom, not opposition to any particular politician including socialists like Obama. Leave it alone.

I heartily agree. Ron Paul

I heartily agree. Ron Paul isn't anti-obama. He's anti-statist, and anti-government.

Just today we have Fox News going on about how Obama is a bad dude ...because he's going to check into the FBI torture thing.

Guess what? Ron Paul likely supports that. Ron Paul also stated his approval of the F-22 cuts.

Too many DPers are still stuck in partisan mode. And I'm not pleased.

Nothing racist about it

I you are pro-freedom you have to be against government control freaks of all types, whether neocon facists or left wing socialists. It's our opponents who keep saying those posters of Obama are racist. Somehow posters of Bush depicting him as a vampire were not racist. The usual double standard. I don't oppose Obama because he's (half) black. I oppose him because of his policies, the same reason I didn't like Bush. (And Hillary wouldn't have been any better.) We're still squandering lives and billions of dollars in stupid wars and maintaining a global military power, and Obama is trying to create a vast new entitlement program for a country that is already bankrupt. Compared to that being depicted as The Joker is pretty mild stuff.

it doesn't matter if it's

it doesn't matter if it's racist or not. that's a sideshow. the real issue is that ron paul himself does not attack the man, but attacks the ideas.

it's not ron paul's style.

and his style is based on a highly principled character.

are you going to be highly principled, or just another knucklehead?

I'm enough of a knucklehead

I'm enough of a knucklehead to see this whole "Ron Paul as Batman" thing as a light hearted spoof of the Obama Joker posters. I don't get all bent out of shape over it.

i'm not bent out of shape. i

i'm not bent out of shape.

i think it's a cool picture.

but i'm tired of the distractions.

the purpose of this poster being posted on the DP wasn't for a chuckle, though it may have had that side effect. the purpose was to be "the opposite" of obama.

that might win favor with some of the neocons, but it's a shortcut and shortlived.

i share my info with a pretty diverse group, some progressives, some neocons, some ordinary folk, some are just trying to raise family, others people i'm trying to wake up are young people.

i don't even mention obama or bush, unless another person mentions them first. then i remind them that i oppose the ideas.

forgive me for my harshness, but this goes on all day every day at the DP. (the anti-obama, he's the antichrist angle) He's just another bad president in a long long line of them. But the public at hand is being played like a fiddle, get half to love, and the other half to hate .....then flip flop them every 1 or 2 election cycles, voila !!! you have the makings of a perpetual motion machine. and that motion is the ever increasing size and scope of the federal government.

I agree with Mises. Have you

I agree with Mises. Have you checked with Dr. Paul and have his approval for these posters although I appreciate the message you're trying to convey. I'm just not sure this reflects a Ron Paul image.

agree

agree

I don't want to get attacked but

I'm, not sure this is a good idea. I don't know if we want to be directly associated with the Obama joker posters. Or even worse, what if Dr. Paul doesn't want to be associated with them. Could be a bad move.

Batman

Please! Spread this poster! Don't be weenies! Ron Paul stands for justice and this image reflects that idea! As far as Obama and his banksters, they are exactly what the joker depicts ~ THIEVES WITHOUT CONSCIENCE! We must inform the sheeple and time is running thin. We must pump up the volumne and get the message out. I recommend posting the joker and the batman side by side. Lots of people don't know who Ron Paul is. This is a good way to spark interest.

Uphold and defend the constitution!

I agree. It's time to stand up and be counted!

Ron Paul's name is needed ~

~
Again ... here it is ... I added "RON PAUL" to the LIBERTY poster.

http://i593.photobucket.c...

I cannot support this

I believe there will be a backlash against the Obama posters and I dont think the Dr should be associated in anyway with this.

I have a co-worker putting these up in Chico, CA tonight.

I should mention he's also putting Jokerbama posters up too at different locations.

Ron Paul as...

The Team Fortress 2 Medic: http://i161.photobucket.c...

I made that one during the campaign.

Did you mean to attack Dr. Paul?

Sorry if I'm misreading your image; for me it doesn't work at all.

You can add shadow-like ears

using a gradient screen that goes from maybe 15% at ear points to 0% at Ron's hair. That way the character ID would be clear w/o obscuring Ron's ID.

Utterly Amazing!!!

Utterly Amazing!!!

This is great!

This is great!

Brilliant!

and powerful picture of my hero. Thank you.

yes

to me too :)

A Jedi is wise, loves peace and only uses force at the last resort, he fights for liberty and protects the Republic.

Ron Paul is a Jedi master :')

To me, batman symbolizes the concept that we need...

an all powerful saviour, someone who is not really us, to take on the thugs and problems. It could be big government, a rich person who can throw money at anything, etc.
Of course, Ron Paul is my hero and in my own imagination, he is larger than life and in a way I am counting on him for many things. I just don't feel comfortable with the head to head battle of Ron Paul vs Obama. Ron Paul never gets personal in his questioning or characterizations.
Just my 2 cents. I like the picture, but I don't think it would be appropriate spread all over the place.

Brilliant!

and a beautiful and powerful picture of my hero. Thank you.

I Love it Ron Paul is a Batman

For those that don't get what this is all about...

I wanted to comment on lending RP to a comic book character. First, all characters have their own flaws and by making this connection you will be imparting those flaws on Ron Paul. Batman is an anti-hero, a vigilante, a rich snob, and he is hardly an advocate for liberty (maybe for himself). He is a very secretive person who trusts in himself above others and thinks that he is worthy of being judge, advocate, and jury. This is hardly the message we want to attach to Ron Paul. In this instance it works but the average person would have to ignore all the bad things associated with the Batman character.

One thing also to consider is how in Dark Knight, Batman effectively wiretaps the entire city leading his colleague (Morgan Freeman) to retire his service with him quoting the Bill of Rights as his reasoning. Now, if we want to be honest Batman is the perfect spokesman for Neo-Conservatives, where the ends justify the means.

Great idea but I would consider a better symbol to carry the message.

Second this

I was going to post something similar; Dr. Paul's motivation couldn't be farther from Batman's heart of revenge.

Still a great photo image. = )

I totally

agree..

But I think the point was to be a positive alternative to the joker.

Thats great!

I want the t-shirt =)

Here is a joker picture that

Here is a joker picture that says fascism: http://www.infowars.com/i...

Fascist not Socialist

The Obama/Ron Paul side by side would be good, but only if you changed Obama's label from Socialist to Fascist. Whoever created this poster missed out on a great opportunity. Since fascism is really the direction we are heading and not socialism. Besides Fascist plays so much better with the poster than socialist.

Facism vs. socialism -- damn little difference

There are far fewer differences between facists and socialists than the socialists want to admit. Both favor a powerful state that controls more and more of your life. Both see a country's citizens as property of the state. No one calls Sweden facist. But it's certainly socialist -- and its government is now proposing to ban homeschooling: http://www.catholic.org/i...

In a socialist country the government owns your children.

There is a Fascist Poster

Alex Jones made a socialist, fascist, new world order, and infowars joker posters. I think the socialist poster has been used more often on the net and news though.

I would personally like to

I would personally like to see a back to back image of the joker obama poster next to the ron batman pic, a side by side.

Nice job, and I don't mean to be too critical, but doesn't this

poster play right into the hands of the crazy red-state and wonkette haters, etc., that coined the term "bat-shit crazy"?

I know it plays to the Joker theme currently all abuzz, but just sayin'...

Tiny suggestion

It's brilliant and I love it.

But his face is just too yellow. Can you fix the color balance?

look ...

I did, and added his name, but didn't get a response ...
does this work ... or not ....

http://i593.photobucket.c...

Much better, thanks

You fixed it. Or pretty close. You were working with a contrasty face, but you pulled it off.

I bow.

I like this one better

.

thanks
