Make Ron Paul a Super-Hero! Pow! Splat!
The recent graphic of Ron Paul as Batman is just fantastic. I don't know the name of the artist, but I'll give him or her a deep bow and a hearty thanks.
It got me thinking about how Ron Paul - our super-hero - might get a little more visibility. Plus it would be fun.
Calling all artists, cartoonists, photoshop experts!
We need people with artistic talent to come up with various images of Ron Paul as a Super-Hero. A poster, a comic book, a video cartoon of Ron Paul flying around DC, wearing his 'R3VOLution Cape', swooping down and socking Ben Bernanke: "Pow! Splat!"
Dazed, Bernanke can only utter, "What th-- ?"
T-Shirts, Hats, stickers!
Ron said it himself: "I am the Champion of the Constitution." So that's a hook. Maybe his costume could look a bit like Uncle Sam's: Red, White and Blue, and he flies around and, like Superman, fighting for "The Constitution, Personal Liberty and Free Markets!"
He could fly over to Pratt House in NYC (home of the CFR) and get them all leaping from the windows: "Get out, you elitist bums! No special interests any more! You're finished!"
I am stoked about this - can you tell?

This is Intellectually Dishonest
To try and connect him to the "birther" movement in a depiction of him "coming" for President Obama is intellectually dishonest.
Dr. Paul in his own words said he does not have an opinion and that the courts will look at it to see if there is ANY merit to the case.
Again he said HE DOES NOT have an opinion, so depicting him on the side of "birthers" is dishonest and foolhardy.
This has to be the best way to sabotage the progress made on auditing the FED
Way to go.

how?
Laura Brown--Sweet Georgia Peach says --- i dont understand how making him into a super hero has a thing to do with the birthers(which i am one) can you please explain? is there something wrong with wanting to know if our so called pres is really our president? maybe i just read the whole thing wrong anyways ron paul IS my HERO & HES SUPER!!
Allie
Right on. Most of them are closet Bushbots anyway, and don't give a damn about Ron Paul.
Comic Book
I had a similar idea to make a comic that highlighted Ron's 2008 Presidential run. I contacted several people with the idea, but got no takers. I started collecting bits on my own. I'm using a program called Comic Life. It seems more real as a scrapbook, however, so here is the initial stages of collecting the inspirational parts of the revolution.

I don't know much about web publishing so this is on my iweb site. The text seems too small to read. In my imagination, the photos have captions to grab attention and then web links to video if available.
If some meetup group or organized individual wants to take over the project, has a better formula for collecting stories and videos, or just wish to make suggestions for best music videos, rally speeches, etc. feel free to comment.

Have you seen Ron Paul lately...........
Have you seen this comic of Ron!

Fantastic Forefathers!
You can contact the Batman Ron Paul artist by clicking the email link at http://www.deantfraser.co.... Maybe you can talk him into some more projects. On the T-shirt idea, he does design a lot of shirts. If someone knows a T-shirt printer willing to go in on the idea, maybe you can get him to do some shirts. To get some more creative juices flowing, here's a shirt he did of the "Fantastic Forefathers":

For some reason
Back when I first heard of Dr. Paul in 08, I was briefly compelled to relate him to several fictional characters.
I'm currently working on a 3D model of a mechwarrior in his image, metaphorically not unlike someone's rendition of him vs the media.
dress him up like the green
dress him up like the green lantern and put $ on his chest.
Holy...
corrupt congress batman!
Why stop at Batman? Why not
Why stop at Batman? Why not just go all the way and make him God?

Eric Clapton would be angry.
I would call him Endafed!
Mild mannered Endafed wields his Constitutional Powers against the Fiats.
Donning the Cloak of Freedom; Endafed is able to wake and enspire large numbers of sheeple to do his bidding.
Uses his trademark "money bombs" as a weapon.
Yep, I'm seeing it!
Holy Hero's Zenpiper!
Dada dada dada dada da Ron Paul! =)

Funny ! Pow !
I could hear you singing it - !
You r3VOLutionaries are so skilled, I can imagine
some great images coming. I ask you to please consider the image Dr. Paul has chosen for himself: gentle, calm, rational, a teacher, and yes, a courageous rebel against the Empire.
Character types that have qualities Dr. Paul exemplifies are not primarily fighters, though skilled men of strength when necessary:
Gandalf, Obi Wan, Yoda are the ones that came to my mind.
LOL I thought of non-cartoon heroes too, like Gandhi, but can't see his skinny, fasting body working aesthetically.
Too soft !
I agree with you... partly. Yes, he is gentle, calm, rational, and the other things you mentioned. Did you see him in the 1988 Robert Downey TV show? He was breathing fire!
That's why - although it's a bit out of character - I WANT to see Ron Paul swoop down in a cape and grab Bernanke by the necktie and squeeze it until Ben's eyes bulge out. That's the fun of cartoons and satire.
I can draw, but not well enough to pull this off. But there's more.
If someone from Marvel Comics could do an entire comic book of "Ron Paul: Super Hero!" - and he zips around, righting wrongs, kicking out the bad guys, restores order and then delivers a few babies. It could get a wide readership I bet !!
Actually that 1988 show...
was Morton Downey, Jr. -- no relation to Robert Downey.

DC Did that back in the Early 90s
His name was Anarky.
http://praxeology.net/ana...
Sadly, it didn't make them enough money and it only lasted 8 issues. :(
I'd love to see a character like that published again though.
Tracy
I like it! Thanks for showing us Anarky.
It would be great if the author/artist revived it; I think there's a bigger market now that would buy if the story lines were authentic libertarian anarchic.
Or it might help inspire a younger creator. Now comics can start online for free, and if they generate a big following, or are seen by a publisher or producer, can evolve more commercially.
The Character is sadly owned
The Character is sadly owned by DC, and they just irrecoverably destroyed the concept by leaving Lonnie a quadapalegic, and "The General" stealing his costume and becoming just a Chaos monger. (The last Robin Arc.)
It would need to be a completely new seperate concept -- unfortunitely. But, if somebody was willing to write it, and draw it on a regular basis. I'm sure you could convince Image, or Dynamite, or some other small independent publisher to publish it -- provided they sell enough copies to make money off it.
Tracy
I think you're near a winning idea. A libertarian superhero
comic book, online probably, could right many wrongs and show many evils vanquished. But I disagree that it should be Ron Paul or any real person.
The creator will have much more plot freedom if the characters are, as in traditional comic books, fictional characters that embody strong principles.
As an illustrator I've toyed with this idea; but it would be a huge creative undertaking. I'm not up to it; but for young creators who have vast energy and lots of time, it would be a project with unlimited potential.
OK - I'll meet you half way
In one of the Batman movies, Michael Caine played the gentleman butler and adviser to the young Bruce Wayne. Ron Paul could appear in that category, and help steer the new super-hero in the right direction.
Advisor and inspiration,
good idea.
Team Fortress 2
Is a first-person team and class based shooter released about 2 years ago with the Orange Box. One of the classes is a Medic, so I swapped out a head and made him be Ron Paul:
