The fellow who open-carried is William, a very cool and friendly fellow who happens to be a Free Stater. As usual, videographer Dave Ridley was on the scene and filmed this follow-up interview with him:
“Militia groups with gripes against the government are regrouping across the country and could grow rapidly, according to an organization that tracks such trends,” reports the Associated Press. “The stress of a poor economy and a liberal administration led by a black president are among the causes for the recent rise, the report from the Southern Poverty Law Center says. Conspiracy theories about a secret Mexican plan to reclaim the Southwest are also growing amid the public debate about illegal immigration.”
The article cites people who own guns and implies that they are domestic terrorists or cop killers in the vein of Richard Poplawski, the Pittsburgh man who gunned down three officers during a domestic dispute earlier this year.
The report cites a Homeland Security “threat projection” which states “White supremacists and militias are more violent and thus more likely to conduct mass-casualty attacks on the scale of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.”
Let me get this straight, Obama or any president can travel around the country with hired guns and has an army at his command. But a sovereign individual cannot carry a gun.
If our socialist government wants gun control, start by example, give up the SS protection, and return all military power and regulations to the States. Where it can then be returned to sovereign individuals.

360 degree difference from Dr. Paul's last apperance, Ed let Dr. Paul speak, was respectful. This was how Ed used to interview Dr. Paul on his radio show before his tv show. Thats what made the last Ed show with Dr. Paul so strange, it was'nt Ed. Like some higher up told Ed & Lawerence O'Donnell too to disrespect Dr. Paul.

I am planning on attending both Ron Paul's birthday celebration in Galveston this Saturday and the "Cabin Meetup" with Ron and Rand in Richardson. I just moved to Texas from Las Vegas, where I was carried a firearm for my job and in my personal time as I was allowed by law. When I first heard about this story, I was curious as to how Dr. Paul would feel about supporters (supporting the second amendment) showing up carrying their weapons because they are allowed by the constitution. I doubt this would be acceptable in Galveston, as I believe it is at a hotel on the beach, so there may be some law violations there, but what about at the private property cabin??? Anyone heard anything regarding this or if they would like to carry their firearm??
