WASHINGTON, D.C., AUGUST 11, 2009 – Constitutional activist Robert L. Schulz, chairman of We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc and We The People Congress, Inc, today announced plans to move forward with a Continental Congress, a national assembly of citizen-nominated and elected delegates representing The People of the fifty states and D.C., to convene from November 9 -22, 2009 at the Pheasant Run Conference Center in St. Charles, Illinois. Attendees will establish a formal historical record that documents, before a worldwide audience, the record of constitutional violations which have taken place over many years, crossing all branches of government and both political parties, and are devastating America. Delegates will collaborate, debate and develop real-world strategies and civic actions to restore Constitutional obedience. Continental Congress 2009 is to defend, not amend the current Constitution.

Great news. Just about twenty or so miles from me. I would love to witness this. I had been to one of the meetings as they where talking of assembling this. So glad it came about. Should be interesting. However....Illinois? They are ready to raise the communist flag here. I just never would have thought it would be here.

Many questions have been raised about Schultz over the last 10 years, including his as yet unexplained connections with the Rockefeller family, and his connections to the NEOCONS. Check out Devvy Kidd's columns on him over the years... she should know she was Executive director for a while of We The People... and knew first hand his machinations.
This latest totally non-productive ploy to raise money, completely without any legal standing and a waste of the grassroots time and resources, which are so precious right now as we enter the election phase, has already squandered thousands of dollars and promises to keep up the same track record... but then he is need of the funds for his current legal situation!
Paying constitution hating ACLU's lawyer, Mark Lane, hundreds of thousands of dollars for his last series of already decided cases without standing, should raise questions enough...
Beware and do your due diligence on this before you waste your already stretched resources in money and time, and in the process loose another year of desperately precious time needed in the fight to control the nominations... the key to a victory by a minority willing to light brush fires of freedom in the hearts and minds of the electorate!

You obviously haven't looked at his case history. I assume Edward Griffin, Michael Badnarik, Adam Kokesh, etc. etc. (all involved with WTP) all have connections to Rockefeller as well?

Which of the many case histories...?
1. To which case history do you allude in you comment that I obviously haven't looked?
2. Was in the fight long before Schultz left his broadcasting and before he first advocated opening up the constitution to a convention so it can be changed... you didn't know that even?
3. Know him personally!
4. Not all the people you name as being involved with him have been around the fight that long to know the history, or are fully aware of his use of them as names, nor were all the people he named actually involved in his last meeting... he used their names even though they did not give permission, nor did they attend. But... this has been done before!
5. The other's connections are not in question. Of course not... this is about Bob Schultz and WTP... many people have supported WTP in years past, including YT, until the true colors began to show. Believe me, many of us had great hopes, but finally realized something was amiss.

I read your "sources" and it's all speculation that has been debunked. So, Ediwin Vieira is also in cahoots with Rockefeller? He's had Bob on his show multiple times.

And yes, Schulz did try to get a NY State Constitution Convention voted on by the electorate, something their state constitution recommends doing every 20 years. CC2009 is a Continental Congress looking for answers to our right to redress petitions which were ignored by all three branches of our federal government. It's about accountability. That is what the Freedom Movement is about. Take time to read the seven petitions. If you don't hear Ron Paul's voice therein, re-read them.

Until and unless State Legislatures start sending delegates to such a convention, count me out.
This will get just as far as Bob's "petition" did - nowhere. Without official interest and sanction by the States, who are the primary political entities in this nation, and the ones who created the Constitution, then whatever transpires from this "convention" will fall on deaf ears.
How exactly does Schulz plan on getting anything from this convention acted on without support from the States?

I've already followed the "petition cases" they are a waste of time. They are decided already. They are not the avenue for resolution that people think they are.
What vote is on October 10th? We have no election scheduled here.
I'm not whining about anything. I'm also very involved politically. Just not with Bob's WTP shenanigans.
Like I said, when State legislatures start sending delegates to a convention, let me know. Until then, this is just "pretend" and "make-believe."

This isn't about a petition move.
That's been tried already and failed miserably. YES, you have the right to petition, NO the government doesn't have to accede to your demands.
This whole event is styled as a Continental Congress in the vein of the previous ones which drafted and passed the Declaration of Independence, Northwest Ordinance, the Articles of Confederation and prosecuted the Revolution. Is that 'subversion' enough for you? Sure, the government at the time was despotic, as is our current one. But those Congresses were composed of delegates sent by the State legislatures. This one is not. It is, for all intents and purposes, an "insurrection."
And in that, I will not take part.
You have the right to peaceably assemble. But unless and until State Legislatures start appointing delegates, count me out.

I hope someone nominates Ron Paul as a delegate from Texas.. I live in Florida... but I can't imagine an event like this without Ron being involved. We really should try to tie as many of the current movements together as possible when getting representatives for this.

delegate, although they are encouraged to witness, without interference, the entire event. This conclave is for we the people to forge ahead with solutions to problems the politicians have created through breaching the constitution.

Why is it that this historic event gets so little attention here
at dp? This is an opportunity to chart a course of accountibility for all public servants. If we can get just one dper to become an elected delegate to CC2009, our brain trust would become a significant player in its unfoldment.

Very interesting times we live in.
My greatest hope is that all of the traitorous scumbag politicians and others are made to stand trial (5 minutes should do), have ALL of their ill gotten gains taken away and returned to the Treasury, then led out into the public square to be stoned by angry mobs. There will be no funeral. Just toss them into wood chippers and feed the output to the sharks (poor sharks). WOW! Now that would make a great Pay-Per-View worth watching.
