The cop did nothing illegal

You DON'T get out of your car and start to walk behind a cop...ever.

You DON'T demand things from a cop...or tell him how to do his job.

You DON'T refuse or resist a cop when he orders you into or out of a car...or on the ground.

She is just another uppity, over-priviledged, white American that thinks that what SHE thinks is right equates to a legal right. It doesn't.

You can't do whatever you want on "public" ground...like protest or interview people on sidewalks.

You don't own your land so you don't have any privacy rights that the government can't choose to override.

You don't have the right to vote...or require that the government provide evidence that their voting system is fair.

And all the rights you think are inalienable (aka, God-given) is bullshit too.

I don't say all this to support the government; rather, I am saying all this to point out how twisted Americans are. They don't fully understand how little freedom or rights they really have. From a legal standpoint, the Constitution IS just a piece of paper. It isn't the law of the land. And as long as we don't understand how much of a plantation we live on, we will never really be able to change anything.

And, by the way, the ONLY way we will change anything in this country is through force. Just look at how willing they are at using force. A simple traffic violation becomes this.

Yet, we don't raise a damn finger about anything.

And the little violence I see at townhalls is probably staged! So don't think a single thing is changing.

They gain your trust with some truth, then they screw you with that trust.

I understand what you're saying.

People are basically saying, "Please tyrants, we love you and all, but don't be quite so mean. . .unless of course you want to be. We have no intention of stopping you, but please be nice."

The argument is that

The argument is that semi-lethal force was not necessary for someone disobeying a cop.

Violence isn't the solution

Committing acts of violence will only play into the hands of the 'authorities'.

what state did that happen in?

I am asking because state law may actually allow her to see the video she was asking to see immedietly. For instance someone told me in georgia if you get a speeding ticket you have the right to ask to see the gun they clocked you with and if they can not show you the gun you get off with out anymore hassel. And if I remember right you have the constitutional right to view the evidence against you. She may not have chosen the correct time to do that, but she was in her rights.

Furthermore if a cop ever grabs me like that he will not be getting up for a while and I will be explaining to a jury why my reaction just happened to be trained, and after I started I was not going to stop because he had a gun.

The gun thing in GA is

The gun thing in GA is true...or well it was true the last time I read GA's code which was 06 or 08.

On the positive side

her children will grow up to be distrustful of police and other authority. Good.

Tasers were introduced into law enforcement...

NOT for use as a deterrent or means of bringing a suspect under control. They were NOT introduced as a use of punishment to insure an officer's every whim was followed. THey are NOT meant to make handcuffing easier.

They were introduced as an alternative to deadly force. In other words, if an officer has no choice but to draw his gun and shoot at you, he has the option of using a taser on you instead.

Tasers in fact, are in many cases lethal and the officer has no way of knowing the medical conditions of those they tase.

When I see a cop tase someone, my first and ONLY question is this. Was the officer forced into a position to draw and fire their gun? If so, the tasing is justified and humane, otherwise, the police officer is using inappropriate/deadly force because they are on a power kick.

you can tell

he was going to tase her no matter what she did. He wanted to tase her, he decided the punishment for her for not treating him like God.

strange

It sounds like he never told her why he stopped her? Anyone have more info? Wonder how this turned out. It was in January, I think.

Pure Bullying -

What a WEAKLING of a man. To have to taser a lone mom because he's such a 'fraidy-cat that he's actually scared she's going to beat him up & take him down, even with all his police training. What a chicken-sh*t baby. He probably went home to cry to his mommy about the monstrous soccer-mom & her children.

Obama = O.ne B.ig A.ss M.istake A.merica

Get real. According to her:

He said to remain in the car; she refused and got out or the car.
He said she was under arrest; she resisted arrest and went back into the car.
He told her she was under arrest a second time and to get out of the car; she refused and physically fought him off.
He could have used any number of moves to restrain her but he opted for the tazer. Did she expect him to tickle her? She is not going win by being belligerent. If her children were watching then maybe they'll understand mom needed a timeout.

Arested for what?

For getting out of the car?

For asking to see the tapes?

He should have just held her there, called for backup, and attempted to solve the situation diplomatically.

You taze someone when you're out of options. She was unarmed, smaller, and did not appear to be threatening, he clearly could have pursued another avenue.

In short he's a fucking prick for doing what he did, and I hope he gets fired, fined, and put in the slammer for 90 days.

Arrested/detained/seized/taken into legal custody

She was arrested for willful failure to obey a peace officer. When he says remain in the vehicle she should STAY PUT and THEN ask for tapes, badge number, drivers license, etc. from the cop as the opportunity presents itself. She did appear threatening because she physically fought with him from the driver's seat as the video plainly shows.

As you obviously unclear what the objectives of Dr. Paul and other Americans are trying to achieve here I should point out that this particular site is called "Daily Paul" which is dedicated to restoring Constitutional government to the United States of America. In short we are trying to preserve our freedoms which is difficult to do when antagonizing someone who just may be your adversary. Pick your battles then choose a time and battlefield which will be to your advantage.

BTW - You may reserve your terse language for elsewhere, thank you.

the only person "unclear" of any objectives here...

is you, GK...you might want to bone up on just what a police force is supposed to have as its number one, and number two, priority...

typical power trip cop giving what few good cops we have left a bad name...

and, oh yes, the government condones this type of thug tactic to squash the citizenry and collect revenue from them...

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

O Captain! My Captain! Rise up and hear the bells!

Thank you for your kind words and welcome to Daily Paul.

Please define "police force".
Does the criteria for said police force lie within the scope of the government code including the mandated Oath of Office and commercial crime bond?
What are the two "priority(ies)" of which you speak?
Which specific government are you talking about and do they meet the internal and external obligations that comport with the Constitution?
What is "revenue" and what governing rule, statute or regulation defines said medium of exchange?

Tell me truly ecorob.

fired, fined, and put in the slammer for 90 days

Not a chance in hell.

He was a jerk

She may have not been the model "yes sir" citizen...but cops should be trained with better people skills than he portrayed. If her behaviors warranted being tazed and arrested, (using police time, tax money, and jail room) - then we are all in a lot of trouble.

you can only train a monkey to react...

you can't teach it to think (not these ignorant monkeys, anyway)

and, oh yes, these monkey cops are TAUGHT EXACTLY to react in this manner...the problem here is much deeper than just some imbecile carrying a badge...

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

O Captain! My Captain! Rise up and hear the bells!

I am thoroughly outraged about this! That could be me or you

and our children!!!

Just when did these tasers pass legislation? Was it Federal or is this State-wide? OMGd I am just livid. Does anyone know if Tasers are available for us, plebes?

www.therootsofchange.com

yes !!!! tasers are avail to us..

you can buy them online... or at gun shops. When you get one... taser international.. will screen you to make sure you are not a criminal. (this is not federal law..just a voluntary thing they do) or you can buy from a private party.

I believe police have

I believe police have different kind of Tasers that have wires and sharp hooks that bite into your skin ( or your eye or scalp as happened to a couple of victims.) The regular tasers are hand held and have some prongs that are placed against the skin and are difficult to make contact if the person is wearing heavy clothing. There have been many fatalities since police started using these. They say they are not deadly, but they sometimes are. Police are using them in non violent situations for easy compliance or torture. They should be banned or very restricted.

really people?

There was no audio. Its her word against the cops. The video has been compromised.

Show me the video with the original audio track. Can't pass judgment until the real evidence surfaces. For all we know she was belligerent and screaming a froth of obscenities at the cop. Flying off the handle with total disregard for the officer and her kids.

Show me the original audio and video not some doctored half truth.

Really person?

For all we know she was belligerent and screaming a froth of obscenities at the cop.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

Who cares if she was irate, and cursing at the officer-- did she appear to be physically threatening? Did she appear to be armed?

You don't taze an unarmed person just because they cuss at you.

normal people don't...

but stoopid people do...like this cop in the video and SSgtAF bilko here

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

O Captain! My Captain! Rise up and hear the bells!

Are you seroiusly

Giving me the same video. Are you trying to insult my intelligence?

Is this what the DP has become?

intelligence?

thats a stretch!

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

O Captain! My Captain! Rise up and hear the bells!

Well, of course, you are right there too. But tasing someone

just because they are upset about something is not appropriate. Cops used to be trained to deal with upset people and certainly not harm them. You notice how many people are being tased if they get upset over something. Some people have weakened nervous systems and low stress thresholds. If there were kids in the car, you can bet she might have been under stress and just didn't control herself.

That is still no reason to cause such extreme harm to someone already in a heightened stressed out state.

www.therootsofchange.com

She could have said

"F8CK you I F8CKing kill you" The proceed to her car. Hmmm. Without the audio track I can speculate all I want. I will hold onto the silly belief that this officer acted accordingly to an escalating situation. Though history hath shown that my belief is far from reality.

No words cause anything to happen

Sometimes you just have to let women yell. I'm sure he beats his wife before she gets too annoying so he probably doesn't get that concept but he could have just let her rant for a minute with no torture. Replace "tazer" in your mind's eye with, "baseball bat". Did he still HAVE to do it?

this is the mindset we deal with, people...

SSgt_AF, you are irrelevant!

i suppose if he had just killed her he would have been justified in your book...

please do not get in front of me...

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

O Captain! My Captain! Rise up and hear the bells!

Imagine what kind of person it takes to be to tase another

person who is unarmed?

Knowing full well what that person is going to experience. I know that cop had to experience getting tased at least once during their training.

A friend in the National Guard told me, he, along with a whole group of his guys had to sit on the ground, touch their feet together and they were tased all at once. He said it was the most painful, disgusting thing he had ever experienced and it felt like it lasted for 5 minutes instead of seconds. One guy in the group threw up.

This is torture plain and simple. We are going back to medieval times only the technology is different, but the psychosis is the same.

Irrational

Emotional outbursts hold no sway in my opinion. I remain unaffected by your illogical response.

karma can be a beautiful and also tragic thing...

you will experience the tragic side and when you do, remember, you asked for it!

If I was there saw the whole

If I was there saw the whole thing happening and had a gun, I would have shot that cop in order save that womans life. That cop could have killed her.

that's how IT will start

next time i get pulled over i will not be rolling down the window but a inch or so. i will also try to pull over in a well lit area where there hopefully is a camera.
if this type of thing keeps happening then people will just start shooting the Nazi cops when they get pulled over.

yes, how many times have you heard...

the german citizens, in the time of hitler, say...if only we had stood up to the SS?

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn said in his book, gulag archipelago, if only we had killed all the blue caps when they came millions would have survived the tyranny...

we don't ask for this violence, these cops are trained to "act" this way...

america is tired of it!

This stuff

has got to stop. What will those kids think of police? He may have just created criminals.

"This stuff"

has been going on in the black community for decades. Children watching their parents getting the door kicked in, and being profiled and harassed on the side of the road.
How about those Tennessee cops planting weed on that one guy. He's probably a life long fan.

those children could have witnessed their mom run over as well.

dumbass!

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

That cop needs his ***s cut off.
