this video is obviously pretty partisan as it omits the achilles heels of the GOP and fascists by not mentioning what about War, Murder, Torture, Big Oil, Big Pharm, GMO food and on and on... just the easy targets that are cliché beefs of conservatives. Man, I could have used this last night
I made a similar argument in front of my city council last night, that they're being used by residents to try and steal my property to be given to others. (An oil company has leased my mineral rights and those of 700 of my neighbors, but other neighbors living next to the oilfield want to shut it down--presumably without compensating anyone for their losses.)
This would be the oilfield that provides the gas we use to heat our homes and water. They voted to impose an emergency moratorium on new wells, but not before one of councilmembers called me a liar because I said I know people who have already died without getting the royalties they might be due if oil was found on their property.
Next up: I'll have to help pay for the lawsuit(s) to follow, against my own interests.
