Frank doesn't plan on passing Ron's bill, HR 1207, but a watered-down non-audit like they passed in the 70's. This is the same guy that has been holding up HR 1207 for months, if he wanted a real audit there would be no reason to hold it up. Sorry, but if Frank/Bernanke gets his way we'll get an "audit" but not an audit.

What really ticks me off about this is that only one excuse is ever provided for not auditing the fed, albeit sometimes worded differently. It would destroy confidence in the fed and kill the dollar if ANY ONE WORD of information about their policies is made public, more or less is what they say, every one of them.... Isn't the only logical conclusion from their own arguments then that what IS being done is WRONG, even if we don't know specifically what it is yet, if everyone would get mad if they knew? I understand why they use the excuses, because they have nothing else, because they are insane, and because they are greedy and like their place as it is. What I really DO NOT understand is how people keep on BUYING it. Does nobody understand what the only provided excuse implies? Or do they just not even bother processing it enough to realize?

If you haven't already, read the post on misinformation. Barney Frank never said it would pass in October. That video is missing a key line at the very end that explains that he thinks his regulatory package will pass then, not HR 1207.

No one is saying Barney Frank is a friend to liberty. No one is saying he is a friend to Ron Paul. Timothy Geithner, Treasury Secretary has said on numerous occasions any audit of the Fed will be disastrous for our economy. Not exactly a subtle hint the Obama Administration has no interest in sponsoring any bill that Ron Paul created.

Obama's administration is trying to do exactly what they did during the Presidential run. They saw the online momentum and social networking sites making Ron Paul famous and then poured their billions of foundation money into mimicking Ron Paul's success. Now they're just doing the same thing with any successful bill against their will. This must be fought harder then ever because if a bill passes that increases the Federal Reserve's power then all the grassroots hard work will be for nothing.

From his comments, it seems like they will move to pass a watered down version of the audit. I personally urge everybody to keep up the pressure on our representatives, telling them not to vote for an amended version of the bill.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how this audit would affect the independence of the Fed in monetary policy. All it would do is to make it clear what actions they are taking with their independence. The powers that be seem to be very afraid of these actions coming to light. The only way the audit could potentially affect monetary policy would be in the revelations of the people to the Fed's insidious actions.

Let's have the Fed and the Treasury deposit One Million Dollars into every American Citizens bank account that they can't touch, but they can skim off the interest and profits from those accounts over time.

The Fed and the Treasury deposited billions and trillions into the accounts of Wall Street and the banksters so they can skim off the systemically looted computer programmed profits, and make billions of dollars and pay themselves multi million dollar bonuses. It's only a matter of fairness to do the same for every citizen.

He talks about his committee passing a broad "reform package" in October, but he does not specifically address H.R. 1207 or its content.

After all this time, Frank is still dancing around the subject of H.R. 1207. Now he may well incorporate apsects or have a hearing on some aspects of H.R. 1207 as part of his committees so-called overall "reform package", but there is no indication that the very precise audit criterea and audit scope defined in H.R. 1207 will ever be what Frank intends to pass.

The Title needs to be changed. It is way prematuer to declare any victory at this time.

I'll believe it when it happens. Plus putting words into Dr. Pauls mouth is another gripe I have.

Doesn't make any sense. It's like. We need milk and eggs. I'll do it in October. What does October offer that September doesn't?

They are probably planning a financial debacle that will take down the dollar before we see October 1. "Audit the Fed" could be rendered moot by that time. I've heard rumors of bank holidays and instructions to US embassies to buy up enough local currency to last them a year. Anyone have info or hard evidence in this regard?

Barney Frank is scripted by bankers. They're up to something nasty, as usual.
