Women fined for watching neighbors kids

MIDDLEVILLE, Mich. (WZZM) - A West Michigan woman says the state is threatening her with fines and possibly jail time for babysitting her neighbors' children.
Lisa Snyder of Middleville says her neighborhood school bus stop is right in front of her home. It arrives after her neighbors need to be at work, so she watches three of their children for 15-40 minutes until the bus comes.
The Department of Human Services received a complaint that Snyder was operating an illegal child care home. DHS contacted Snyder and told her to get licensed, stop watching her neighbors' kids, or face the consequences.
"It's ridiculous." says Snyder. "We are friends helping friends!" She added that she accepts no money for babysitting.
Mindy Rose, who leaves her 5-year-old with Snyder, agrees. "She's a friend... I trust her."
State Representative Brian Calley is drafting legislation that would exempt people who agree to care for non-dependent children from daycare rules as long as they're not engaged in a business.
"We have babysitting police running around this state violating people, threatening to put them in jail or fine them $1,000 for helping their neighbor (that) is truly outrageous" says Rep. Calley.
A DHS spokesperson would not comment on the specifics of the case but says they have no choice but to comply with state law, which is designed to protect Michigan children.

I can only imagine the stellar reputation of the "snitch". A microcosm of why the widespread dissatisfaction with government and growing of the revolution.

I remember a post maybe several months ago that dealt with this. Basically it was going to be illegal for anyone not DHS certified to watch children, and anyone under 18 such as an older sibling couldn't watch your kids at home. This is complete nonsense, perhaps this will anger some people enough to get off their butts and do something.

But, even if they are getting paid, I am so against this whole thing. They are forcing children into the hands of the state again.

For the first time in my life I want Virginia (my state) to secede from the union. The federal government has totally, and repeatedly violated the agreement our forefathers entered into; it's time to nullify that agreement due to breach of contract.
I could be wrong,
but I believe the wording stated that children could not be left with ANYONE under 18 years of age. It's all for the children though... (sarcasm)
I'm still searching for that information..so i can re-read it. According to an article in the Daily Oklahoman published September 10th of this year, there are no such requirements in Oklahoma...in fact there are basically no requirements except for kids should be over the age of 6 before being left at home...LOL yeah right me leave my 6 year old at home alone..not on your life.

Homeland security since they did not put (DHS) behind "The Department of Human Services".
What happened to "It takes a village"
Where is the outrage from the Hillary crowd. There is none because it is all BS and they don't care about you or your children. Just more power and control for themselves and the state.
