Sibel Edmonds has a story to tell. She went to work as a Turkish and Farsi translator for the FBI five days after 9/11. Part of her job was to translate and transcribe recordings of conversations between suspected Turkish intelligence agents and their American contacts. She was fired from the FBI in April 2002 after she raised concerns that one of the translators in her section was a member of a Turkish organization that was under investigation for bribing senior government officials and members of Congress, drug trafficking, illegal weapons sales, money laundering, and nuclear proliferation. She appealed her termination, but was more alarmed that no effort was being made to address the corruption that she had been monitoring.
A Department of Justice inspector general’s report called Edmonds’s allegations “credible,” “serious,” and “warrant[ing] a thorough and careful review by the FBI.” Ranking Senate Judiciary Committee members Pat Leahy (D-Vt.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have backed her publicly. “60 Minutes” launched an investigation of her claims and found them believable. No one has ever disproved any of Edmonds’s revelations, which she says can be verified by FBI investigative files.
John Ashcroft’s Justice Department confirmed Edmonds’s veracity in a backhanded way by twice invoking the dubious State Secrets Privilege so she could not tell what she knows. The ACLU has called her “the most gagged person in the history of the United States of America.”
But on Aug. 8, she was finally able to testify under oath in a court case filed in Ohio and agreed to an interview with The American Conservative based on that testimony. What follows is her own account of what some consider the most incredible tale of corruption and influence peddling in recent times. As Sibel herself puts it, “If this were written up as a novel, no one would believe it.”

Giraldi, interestingly enough ,was also interviewed by a substitute on the progressive radio program, the Thom Hartmann show.
The Sibel Edmonds saga should emphasize the point that Ron Paul has been making all along; the American government should not be involved in the business of foreign aid and governmental international alliances. Phillip Giraldi consistently mentions the fact that Israel has been involved in American espionage and other acts that would be considered illegal and detrimental to American security, but the MSM will still not report on their actions. The reason the MSM won't report on the Sibel Edmonds story is the same reason they won't cover Israel in a critical light, because it is bi-partisan, meaning that the Republicrats are implicated in this tragedy of forein affairs.

The monitoring of the Turks picked up contacts with Feith, Wolfowitz, and Perle in the summer of 2001, four months before 9/11. They were discussing with the Turkish ambassador in Washington an arrangement whereby the U.S. would invade Iraq and divide the country. The UK would take the south, the rest would go to the U.S. They were negotiating what Turkey required in exchange for allowing an attack from Turkish soil. The Turks were very supportive, but wanted a three-part division of Iraq to include their own occupation of the Kurdish region. The three Defense Department officials said that would be more than they could agree to, but they continued daily communications to the ambassador and his defense attaché in an attempt to convince them to help.

MO Rep.Roy Blunt(R) involved.
It makes me sick to think that we have a traitor representing Missouri. If you listen to Sibel Edmond's deposition, you have to draw the conclusion that he(Roy Blunt) was involved in selling intelligence and nuclear secrets to Turkey.
Our astute and arrogant state Republican party establishment, including Sen. Kit Bond, is ***-bent on raising money for Blunt's senatorial campaign. I'm just hoping and praying that this comes out soon enough to give someone like Chuck Pugason a decent chance to win the Republican primary. We desperately need someone with Chuck's character and ethics in Washington. He served as both my state representative and senator in Jefferson City and worked hard to make a real difference for the citizens of this state. He deserves everyone's, including the Republican Party, support. I don't want another Washington RINO like Roy Blunt, who won't even listen to his constituents, to serve in the Senate.

There was a Fox News special investigation report from shortly after 9/11 that serves to further corroborate some of Sibel's assertions. (I know- an actual report of value, from a mainstream source!) It details the uncovering of an extensive Israeli spy ring on a number of levels... Of course, Fox News pulled it down in the days shortly after airing it, realizing that this upset their masters... There's a problem inherent
to the puppet masters pretending not to manipulate the strings. In order for the rank and file to know where the boundaries are, someone has to unwittingly cross them occasionally. The response to crossing them usually has serious repercussions. I guarantee some heads rolled at Fox News. No wonder they jump at 'round the clock coverage of celebrity gossip.

She's right. If someone wrote a novel around the story she
tells, nobody would believe it. Money, secrets (of all kinds) for sale, all kinds of corruption. Sounds like working for the state department can be a very lucrative activity......and with relatively little risk, assuming one has the proper political connections. Her description of the activity in Chicago doesn't exactly mesh very well with Carl Sandburg's does it? Her story sounds like she was living in the middle of a Tom Clancy novel. All of her responses are interesting, but the last 3 paragraphs seem to be particularly damning. If this story is credible, and there's no indication that it isn't, then this information should have started a raging fire in the media, if we had a genuinely free media that is. I would have to admit that I'd love to see Richard Perle stopped cold and held to account. Anyone not familiar with Mr. Perle is invited to read his book: An End to Evil: How to Win the War on Terror. It's a chilling guide to neocon foreign policy.
