Reid Faltering in Re-Election Bid
Submitted by celeste on Mon, 10/12/2009 - 19:53
"Although Reid is likely to raise millions and get a helping hand from national Democrats, Nevadans appear to have an overall negative opinion of their senior senator, who doesn't have much wiggle room to improve his image. Nearly 100 percent of Nevada voters know who Reid is, and 50 percent of them hold an unfavorable view of the Democrat. Just 38 percent have a favorable opinion."
Your thoughts ?

They'll Just
They'll just run 3 people against him and name recognition will give him the victory. Voting is such a scam.
Do we have anyone
That's aiming for his seat??

A true liberal has risen to oppose Pelosi in San Fransisco, challenging her for her seat.

Politicians today aim to grow our economy by burning our cities to the ground, instead they should take a lesson in economic theory.

I know this will earn me scorn to no end, but may I suggest
Wayne Root?
He has tempered his neo-con war ways and has done an excellent job on the radio circuit promoting freedom and libertarian values.
He would be a good option to take votes from any GOP hack that tried for the seat.
He already has name recognition in the state, certainly in the Vegas area.
I think he would certainly make a viable candidate that is as closely aligned with the rEVOLution as we are likely to get.
While there may be more "pure" candidates out there by the opinions and standards of locals there, I think anyone would be hard pressed to show that anyone else can quickly overtake Root's advantages at zero cost.
Root has recently campaigned there for VP and he has remained politically active and in the public eye. Any other candidate would have to spend significant sums just to get to where Root already is.
All in all, I think Root would be a fine ally in the Senate.
Root
Root may have stood a chance before the candidate field became as wide as it has, but now I don't think he would have much of a chance to win.
The people in Nevada
are certainly smart enough not to vote for him...the thing to watch out for is voter fraud...Sign up to be a poll watcher and participate in enforcing the transparency of the ballot. That's what I did in FL, home of the hanging chads! :) We had to sign up for a 3 hour course to get certified first so allow time for that, and there are limited positions available in each district, so unless you are willing to drive to another district, get your name in early.
Participate! Let's get our country back.
The ball less one
I will be sending money to whomever runs against Harry "the balless one" Reid.
unfortunately Osama sue lowden
will probalbly be running against him does anyone know anything about Jerry Tartanion besides being a basketball coach.
I'm not familiar with Las
I'm not familiar with Las Vegas / Nevada Politics, but what is the big problem with Sue Lowden? Why is she Osama, whatever that means?
I remember Wayne Root was talking of running against Reid, but he's kind of fallen off the radar recently. I know people here generally didn't go for him, but compared to Reid, and to 99% of those in the House and Senate, he's a genuine revelation.
Regardless, this is a huge race. Getting Reid out of there is of major importance, even if we have to settle for someone less than entirely ideal.
Osama sue lowden
was the GOP chair that turned off the lights and sabataged the Las Vegas convention because Ron Paul was about to get nominated. over John Mccain ask any RP delegate in Vegas how they feel about sue lowen and theyll have far dirtier names for her then I do.
Lowden
Sue Lowden is the former chair of the Nevada GOP; she just resigned this month. See http://www.nevadagop.org/NewsBack.aspx?guid=0239ae06-8949-48...
Look at what happened at the 2008 Nevada Republican Convention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSOr2EuKOtc & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri2iDAqRecE
Tarkanian
The guy running is not the former coach; it's his son. He's run for office (but not the U.S. Senate, I don't think) in Nevada before and lost. His website is http://www.dannytarkanian.org/ I think he's relatively mainstream GOP, but that he would be way better than Lowden. The best candidate we have in the GOP primary is http://www.parsonforsenate2010.com/
From what I read
Bill Parsons sound like a pretty good fella I hope he can get affiliated on this site.
They will just trash his opponent(s)
And the shleeple will forget all about what a slimeball Reid is, because he is a familiar slimeball and that is so much less scary than taking a chance on a new slimeball.
I have a new sound for when people are being willfully ignorant, I don't know how to type it though. Inhale like you are snoring, exhale like a sheep.
ZZZZ-bahhhhhh
ZZZZZ-bahhhhhh
Not if we
Remind them !
Give him
The big boot !!
