It's time to start exposing the antivaccinationists for the crazies that they are. It's time to stop the fearmongering. It's time to get hold of ourselves and quit being silly.
It's time to quit reposting the anti-intellectual garbage of the antivaccinationists. It's time to quit forwarding the seeming endless digital diarrhea of emails warning of toxic flu vaccines and plans to annihiliate the planet with weaponized H1N1 viruses created in clandestine laboratories by evil Illuminati.
There is no weaponized swine flu vaccine. Some crazy might go and tamper with some vaccine yet, but there is no plan to destroy the people with flu vaccine. It makes you look really really stupid when you forward those emails and make those facebook posts saying that there is.
Thiomersal is not a health risk. It does contain mercury, but the amount of mercury received in vaccination with thiomersal containing vaccines is not enough to do anyone any harm whatsoever. Thiomersal doesnt cause autism.
There isnt any anti-freeze in vaccines. Squalene is a natural component of many foods and it is a natural substance that is made by your body. Formaldehyde is used in inactivated vaccines. The amount that is in the final product could not possibly cause you any harm.
It's time to reject the quacks and the charlatans who reel off long list of scary sounding chemicals like dihydrogen oxide and other additives in vaccines.
And it's time to totally reject those who say that vaccines are always bad and never do any good. The people of the world and the animals we raise are much better off because we use the power of the immune system to prevent a whole host of really nasty diseases that used to be common and devastating.
A lot of harm can be done by discouraging people from getting their kids the routine vaccinations that prevent once common and dangerous childhood diseases.
The people in the Freedom Movement want to convince the rest of the society that they are worthy of being trusted with the reins of the government. Well, we really make a lousy impression when we show just how gullible some of us are to be duped into accepting the lies of the antivaccinationists.
Yes there are negative reactions to vaccines, but those are reactions to the antigenic material of the vaccines themselves not to the additives. There are people in the society who are not fit to take vaccinations.

The mass vaccination of the society for so-called pandemic flu is a lousy idea. It was a lousy idea in the 70's and it's a lousy idea today. The mass hysteria about H1N1 flu is completely unwarranted. There is no evidence that this years flu bug is any more virulent, pathogenic, harmful, dangerous or contagious than the flu bug in any other recent years. In fact it may be milder than some.
I am pretty well convinced that Americans are numbskulls on the average. We in the freedom movement are supposed to be the ones who are "woke up" from the hypnotism of mediocrity and kitsch that enchants and enthralls the general populace. But if we are awakened to the false and crazy doctrines of the antivaccinationists, we are certainly pretty close to being the dingbats and moonbats that our opponents love to accuse us of being.
It's time to get control of our selves and our emotions and direct ourselves into sensible paths and sensible doctrines and see if we really can restore freedom and democracy in our republic.

I did some quick checking on the Salk testimony. It seems it may be out of context. I gather that he was saying that cases were virtually wiped out after the introduction of the vaccine (from the tens of thousands annually) and all that remains is the small number of vaccine attributed cases since.

Also, Jonas Salk testified against HIS OWN VACCINE! In 1977, along with other scientists, he testified that mass inoculation against polio was the cause of most polio cases throughout the USA since 1961! -- which is really ironic, because Salk is the #1 example cited for pro-vaccine propaganda in the claim that vaccines "work" or are "beneficial."

That's precisely why veterinarians stopped giving dogs and cats vaccinations in their backs and switched to their legs -- so it would be easier to amputate the limb if and when the animal got cancer at the injection site.

Jonas Salk produced a killed vaccine against polio that was highly effective. There was controversy with between Salk and the proponents of the killed vaccine and with Sabin and the proponents of his live vaccine. Presently the killed Salk vaccine is the only one used in the US.
Veterinarians did not switch to giving rabies vaccine in the leg (intramuscular) rather than in the back (subcutaneous) because of any concern about cancer or some morbid notion about taking off a leg. Rabies vaccine was demonstrated to be more effective if given intramuscularly and the leg is the most accessible intramuscular site.

If a person can read it and come away still believing all vaccinations are bogus, then they are either not being reasonable, or they've got arguments I haven't heard yet.
That said, I won't be getting the H1N1 shot. Just seems like overkill, or maybe a misfire. On the other hand, if I step on a nail you can bet I'll be getting the tetnus shot.

I think it's lousy idea because:
a) the threat from the "new" strain of H1N1 is overblown.. the threat does not appear to warrant the reaction and hype.
b) flu viruses mutate a pretty high rate. This makes vaccination for a flu a difficult moving target.
c) reactions are bound to occur in a few per million. Among 150 million vaccinated there could be 500 to 1000 negative reactions with significant public outcry.

40% of seasonal flu is H1N1 (influenza A). the new H1N1 does not appear to be particularly virulent.

Squalene that is absorbed in the diet is converted to sterols and catabolized by the liver into bile acids and excreted. About 85% of the squalene in oils like olive oil and canola is absorbed. Injected squalene (a tiny amount really) would follow the same path as that absorbed orally.
7...Your opinion on mandatory vaccinations...? Private schools can make vaccinations mandatory for participation. Public schools should make the basics mandatory with an option to waive out of the vaccination program.
I say this because vaccines do work, are relatively safe, and prevent many serious diseases. Public schools do have some responsibility to keep children healthy.

i agree with this. however....these people are not the only "anti vaccinationists". acupuncturists, homepathic and ayurvedic doctors, even lew rockwell is against the vaccination. i will never be in favor of any synthetic medicine over natural and homeopathic remedies that work ten times better. synthetic medicine is not designed to protect your immune system. homeopathics are. both sides of the argument need to wake up to reality.

you're exaggerating. There are those of us here who question the safety and efficacy of all vaccines, but I haven't seen anyone here who's been suggesting all vaccines be banned. I think we're all on board in our view the decision of whether or not to vaccinate should be an individual decision, not a government mandate. I think a better term to describe us might be "vaccination skeptics."

The anti-vaccinators, whether you think they are crazy, hurting the movement, or are guilty of anything else in your mind, are simply exercising a fundamental right to be left alone. NO ONE has a right to cause another person to be forced to accept a medical treatment that they do not give consent to.
The freedom to decide what medical treatments to accept is fundamental to the freedom movement. Increasingly, a LARGE number of mainstream Americans AGREE WITH THIS. Look at all of the polls showing large majorities in opposition to mandatory H1N1 vaccinations.
