HERE IS THE SCOOP ON THE MOVIE:
As the 2007-08 presidential campaign cycle offered up the usual slate of Washington insiders, Ron Paul, an obscure Congressman from Texas brought an alternative voice that challenged the political establishment. Advocating a philosophy of sound money, a non-interventionist foreign policy, strict Constitutionalism, and individual liberty, Dr. Paul inspired a unique grassroots movement unmatched in American history – the repercussions of which continue to reverberate today and into the future of the American psyche.
For Liberty: How the Ron Paul Revolution Watered the Withered Tree of Liberty follows this historic campaign from the perspective of grassroots activists, and showcases the unique, often bizarre, yet groundbreaking projects they undertook as they brushed aside traditional campaign methodology. For Liberty features an all star cast of grassroots leaders, organizers, activists, authors, talk show hosts, musicians, media experts, historians, artists, and more.

I bought 4 copies and wish I hadn't
I am glad that I got 1copy of For Liberty for me but will not need the others. I had planned on pushing hard to get everyone I know to watch it after I saw the trailer and then ordered the 4 copies. Really disappointed. Way too much time covering the walk. Glossed over the some of the biggest events, but at least they were mentioned. Covered the big Iowa straw poll and the chart guy without showing any charts or mentioning that across the land he won the most straw polls. No press coverage. Failed to show the banners and signs that covered the Whole nation. That no other candidate had anything. Needed way less time on the walk and more about mainstream press bias. Some montages of grassroot supporters pictures maybe. Something about the west coast and everywhere else. So little about the TEA PARTIES! Truly an incredible event(s). They were huge! and of course not in the msm. Could have showed how no matter what candidate came to town, there were more Ron Paul supporters there than their own. etc. So much more.
Don't get me wrong. It covered a lot of good stuff but in my opinion was way too long and boring and I'M A HUGE FAN. Cried when I watched the trailer and couldn't wait for the movie. But I can't ask people to watch this.
Ron Paul WON. Ask any alien watching from space with a telescope! We won. Something really big happened and most Americans have no knowledge of it. I wanted to show them the proof. I wanted a movie to invoke the reaction people would have after hearing rumors about concentration camps and writing them off and then seeing the actual film footage. The truth is bigger than the movie. Americans were bamboozled. We did not pick our president and now I wonder when the last time was we did. It certainly must have been before 1912 I imagine.
There's so much more to say but you get the idea.
Misguided Criticism
By the way, I'm in the credits - my band link is included: www.myspace.com/americanp...
So maybe I'm biased!
I think you have some points - but you need to remember that the average person probably doesn't take things in like you - focusing on media bias isn't really something to get somebody excited about. I thought the film was excellent - there is obviously room for more films about this movement...I think you should run an experiment and casually ask a "normal" friend to watch a bit of it---to understand what you were involved in. You might be surprised.
What was essential to me was that the moment between Giuliani and Paul was covered about blowback - as long as that was covered, I was happy---and it is.

Yes the movie was wonderful for a supporter to watch
And I have a had few watch it (before I did) and probably will get a couple more to.
But the real story to me is why he isn't the president. How fake the system is.
They who chose the president own the media. People should get excited when they discover that they didn't choose the president. Ron Paul was the clear cut winner, far and away, yet today is not the president.
Now it's comical to look back and see long ago how George Carlin had it so right, "they give you 2 to choose from so you think you a eff'in choice.
I am not a real fighter, I know "duh". So I choose my battles carefully and really believed and still believe Ron Paul was America's last chance. That was the time to fight. I just watched the first half of Fall of the Republic and agree it's too late now. Unless everyone wakes up. Especially, most importantly those in uniforms.
I wanted the movie so maybe someday I can show my grandchildren and say l "Let it not be said that we did nothing" or like that. The greatest line in the movie. I do understand a appreciate the hard work, effert and expertise that went into making it. And I did buy 4 copies and most people would agree that I truly have no money. Or at least no cents! But do have my sense of humor still : )
Wow
These people disagree. Oh and all the others who gave us standing ovations at the premieres.
Here's a great link showing the bias

"Money is the barometer of a society's virtue. When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

You've inspired me to push this again in Florida. Anyone who wants to come to Orlando to see it, potentially at a theater if we can make the figures work, please click on my name "ItsTheEconomyStupid" and message me. I'll start a Meetup for this if we can make it happen.
