I can't believe there is not more talk about Operation Live Free or Die!
This is the single, most important project going on. What gets votes: advertisements or face-to-face conversations? Banners get attention, but people sell.
That's why getting people on the street, knocking doors is essential for our success. Vijay's Operation Live Free or Die is gathering 1,000 freedom lovers from all over the country to go to New Hampshire to knock on doors. They are already more than 400 people!
All they are asking is 5 dollars today ("5 for Freedom"). That's it! If you can give more, do so, but if you can only spare 5 dollars that's ok.
The money will go to housing and transport. These great people are going to New Hampshire to work for us. Let's show them our support!
UPDATE: There have been some problems with PayPal and Chipin, but if you try a few times it WILL work.

Great news....
That's really cool. I applaud Vijay and anybody volunteering for the effort. I hope that the $40k will go along way to providing the needed transportation, food, and lodging to accomplish the goal.
If I was in a different station of life (i.e. didn't have a wife and 4 kids I can't be away from) I'd be there myself......but since I can't, I sent $$$ :)
Good luck to you all--and I echo what other people have said. I KNOW it's important to get the word out, but somebody from that camp needs to carve 5 minutes out of their day at bedtime or something to update a blog so we can know how things are going on the "front lines" .....

These guys need to have a blogger update us. They have a blog on their site but its empty. I would atleast like to see some type of info as things go. I think we all deserve atleast that much since were chiping in. Come on guys throw a dog a bone. Feel like I am in the dark here and can't even tell if the Chipin counter on their page is even accurate, let alone no tally for other donations.

You cannot donate to the campaign directly, but there is NO REASON on God's green earth why you can't give money to "Operation Live Free or Die", or the "Ron Paul Blimp", or a TV commercial that supporters design...

Not sure if a lot of you guys are aware of this but the Ron Paul Campaign actually does not support this idea. The reason why is if you look at what had happened to Howard Dean he actually lost NH because he had a large group of supporters try and force their views on the locals. I support Vijay's mission but I say this make sure you represent Ron Paul in a fair way. Yelling his name and just saying Ron Paul is not enough. We need to educate people on Ron Paul and tell people why he is better not just a flashy name like Howard Dean.

With all due respect your statement is incorrect. Do not mistake my comment as slander but as a means to say we should represent Ron Paul the right way. I am a big supporter of Vijay's in fact I have helped him recruit for this cause. I won't respond to rude remarks but you might want to see my reply below to the gentleman who asked me to prove my statement.

Iowans have a closed caucus and don't like outsiders trying to influence them. That's where Dean failed. NH has it in their constitution that they're first because they want the big bucks and understand outsiders work their state.
You have this wrong
The people who have come in by way of Vijay's plan are all cooperating as volunteers with the campaign office. I wish you people would not speculate on things you know nothing about. Why would they go off "Yelling his name..." etc? You don't give them much credit. The canvassing is being done in a cooperative organized way. They are providing the bodies for the work the campaign wants done....

I didn't get the email from the campaign saying they do not "support this idea" of volunteers canvassing in NH. Perhaps you could share your copy with us or tell us why you believe this?
I only know what I see on the Internet, but two things seem relevant: First, RP met Vijay at Murphy's Tap Room in NH last weekend. Are you claiming he told Vijay to stop and Vijay refused? Second, according to Roxie's blog (see my post below), they are working on canvassing lists provided by the RP campaign office in NH.
Again, I might be wrong. Or, you might be trying to crash an important campaigning project for some reason?

Pgmrpaul, I would be glad to tell you why I believe this and back up my statement. On November 8th I spoke with John Bydlak the fund raising director for Ron Pauls campaign. He actually called to thank me for my idea of the donation day for Ron Paul on November 5th that raised him 4.3 Million dollars in one day. I am the person who created the idea on Oct 11th and the video on Oct 15th. I spoke to John for about an hour about all kinds of things. He revealed to me they actually knew about November 5th the moment it was released but could not support the idea because the controversy behind the idea.
I am a big supporter of Vijay you can actually see my video on www.Seattleliberty.com. There were only 89 people who committed before my video was released. So your talking to someone who has helped recruit for this project as well. I started helping with this cause on November 4th when I was on Ron Paul Radio with Trevor Lyman and Steve Dore. Back to the story... When I was speaking with John Bydlak I told him about Operation Live Free or Die. His words to me were this... He didn't think it was a good idea because he believed it was why Howard Dean lost the nomination.
A lot of the supporters took to the streets and forced their candidate on people and showed Howard Dean in a negative light. That is why I said the things that I said. It was not meant as a negative post but away to look at the present situation and make sure we do the right thing when supporting Ron Paul. I am not here to brag or boast if I was I would of done the Alex Jones show and multiple over media outlets that contacted me for the story behind November 5th. The true heroes behind November 5th are Ron Paul and 37,000 people who donated. That is why the creator never came forward.. It was never about recognition for me it was about proving a point to the establishment that we select our presidents on our on terms. I would like to share with you my account of November 5th. They NYT has the story but never released it. They did credit me on November 10th as the creator of the movement.

I'm not so sure about that...
As someone who has canvassed in New Hampshire, I can assure you that going door-to-door people cannot tell whether you are from Manchester or, say, Providence, Rhode Island.
Secondly, Howard Dean had previously served as governor of Vermont from '91 through 2003, so on a common sense level I don't think New Hampshire people would have viewed his supporters as some foreign horde. (Vermont and New Hampshire are small, bordering states).
All that being said, I agree that it is important we inform people about his policies and get beyond merely sign waving. Dr. Paul has a popular message, lets get the word out!

It's my understanding there is going to be staff education before the hit the streets. My opinion is - if they are going to vote for Ron Paul the people on the streets won't make them not - if the are undecided we have a 50/50 chance.
I love the Christmas with Ron Paul idea and hope to see the same in NH.

Whatever happened to the invitation RP was given to join Beck for 1 hour? Does anybody know if the Campaign has been informed? I would hate to see him pass that up.

Ron Paul avoids certain media personalities with good reason. Beck is there to pick a fight and say why he believes his way is the best. Ron Paul on the other hand shares his ideals you can agree or disagree with him. There is actually an interview where Ron Paul says he would never go on the Glen Beck show. I can't blame Ron Paul whats the point of setting yourself up for a fight. We want to expose Ron Paul to more people but not through people that are just there to bash and criticize the good American people

although they are idiots compared to glenn beck, glenn beck unknowingly agrees with ron paul on 80% of the issues and RP just has to point all that out. doubt he will go on but it would be great if he did. is anyone readily available from the RP campaign to answer random questions like this in a timely fasion?

I'm very frustrated I can't be there talking to every living body I see about the great man. I know so many people there. Family is there and friends from over 60 years all over the state. I wish, I wish I could there where I spent most of my early young life as a musician playing every place that had electricity and room for more than 10 people! :-)
I'm in and very happy I can do at least something besides moan about not being there.

The awesome people going to NH to canvass in the cold certainly deserve my support. The web site seeks $100,000 to support 1,000 volunteers for a week. That comes out to only $100 per person per week. A screaming great deal!
I just donated $195 with my credit card. That fully pays for one volunteer to canvas for a week. If you kick in the extra five dollars then we also will have paid for a second one!

I agree that this is a very important operation. Not only will it likely receive national press, the one-on-one contact with our volunteers will help to dispell some of the deceptive comments (lies if you prefer) that have been made by the media and other candidates. Thanks to all volunteers traveling to NH. i was getting frustrated there for awhile as it took me at least 4 attempts (since last night) to get my donation accepted. I encourage other independent RP supporters with great ideas to take the extra step and set up your bank account to accept CREDIT CARDS (including AMEX and DISC). Make it as easy as possible for as many as possible to donate while the iron is hot. May God bless Vijay's idea!
