Complaints about Alex Jones' "Fall of the Republic"
- Fear-based, and offers mild solutions. (eg, "go back to the constitution, host more bbq's, get acquainted with neighbors, turn off television.)
- Repeats "al gore invented internet" lie.
- Divisive against the left. this documentary could have been made about any president, but goes the extra mile in making sure to be damning of the current puppet.
- Offers concrete evidence on some statements, but weak evidence in support of his underlying major theme.
- Finally, I'm a little upset with the fact that alan watt looks strikingly like alan watts, and this documentary uses the similarities to ride in on the coat-tails of the former, through no fault of his own. alan watt is a very smart guy, but with his goatee, beard, accent, and placement of him on an all-nature backdrop, it conjures up familiar memories of the guru alan watts (see: "a conversation with myself.") alex jones speaks of public relations and propaganda, but it seems clear that jones has picked up on a trick or two to manipulate viewers, himself.
in the end, alex jones decides to make the same mistakes he always makes. it seems like he would be better served to hire a full time staff just to keep his ego from inflating into view. i give it a b- or a c+. jones says he is only interested in spreading knowledge, but he certainly doesn't try to make this one palpable to the general public.
i want a documentary that i can show my left family members without having to apologize for the smears against gore for never having said he invented the internet. i want a documentary that i can show my girlfriend without her shutting down into a fear-based shock. i want to show my friends a documentary that is both informative and empowering. no more of this fear-based, nothing you can do to stop them, nonsense.
once again, i see this as another documentary that does a good job waking up those who are already awake, and tricking them into thinking that nothing can be done except to give copies of the DVD to their neighbors to scare them into a turtle shell just in time for halloween.

There is very little strategic thinking in this movement.
The Nexus of our enemy's power is the Federal Reserve and other central banks. However, Alex's strategy, if any, doesn't seem to hit this home.
If time truly is short, we don't have time to spend on the other things, ... h1n1, vaccines, fluoride, fema camps, etc. etc. etc.

Now is the time to attack them on what function they are for in society.
Trying to convince people that they actually run "everything" and they want to kill 85% of us, enslave us, put us in FEMA camps, trample on the constitution, and destroy our country is a much more difficult argument than merely saying:
"The Fed is not fit for its purpose."
Within my circle of friends, co-workers and family, I find Alex's films utterly useless as "educational tools". But its pretty simple to show any 8th grader , that the Fed is designed to steal from everyone.
-People either say Alex
-People either say Alex doesn't provide solutions or complain about his solutions. You can always come up with your own. No one is stopping you. There isn't one solution that is going to solve our problems. Alex is human like anyone else and does what he does best, that is spread information.
-The movie is against both the left and right. It focuses on the left more because they are now in power and the ones pushing the agenda. The Obama Deception does a good job at going after both fairly equally. You can always show that before fall of the republic. You could also explain that AJ has done over a dozen documentaries which go after Bush and the right.
-Your argument about Alan Watt is completely off-base. I think you are reaching too far to try and criticize Jones with this point.
-Why don't you give it to them and see what they think? I have yet to see one movie that'll wake everyone up right away. There are different movies out there which can appeal to different people. It takes more than one movie or one book to fully wake people up. There is too much proof and too much information and one documentary can't have it all.
If you can do better than by all means do. I'd love to support more people trying to spread the message.

One thing I was VERY interested to know, that the film offered, was; President Obama is presiding over the UN Security Council as well? If we can shed MORE LIGHT on that brazen breach of his executive office duty to the USA, then that would definitely help dismantle the corruption and situation at hand!

I'm no Constitutional expert like Obama is, but I think this would be the part his new position would be in violation of:
"And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State."
Then again, the UN isn't a foreign state...so, I don't know.

I have read through these follow-ups and it's surprising how this guy is getting the fangs and claws!
The guy just made an observation. He tried to be lucid and we're restricted to READING thoughts in written words. It's interesting how people interpret and respond. My favorite is the reliable "Where's your video" or "What have you done to knock Alex Jones?" Hey, folks! The guy is entitled to a critique! I watched the WHOLE THING and it's like a lot of the awareness films being made to awaken the masses. They offer a lot of gloom-and-doom and VERY little alternative or actual instruction and encouragement on HOW WE can turn the tide. Then people here react and it divides and brings out the attitudes. It's NO WONDER these global elites are so successful! Look how easy it is to make the masses get upset! Look how we are so easy to gang up on one of our own!
I believe the author of this thread HAS worked hard. I believe he WANTS to awaken many more along with us. I am the SAME! I have devoted countless hours and my own money to multiple liberty candidates, and the 2 year Ron Paul campaign had me excited and exhausted from my participation.
If we can't help a brother in this struggle, on an issue like this, but rather bash him and knock his efforts and his AUDACITY TO QUESTION IT? We're screwed here as well.
I agree with some things in his critique. The film is VERY thought-provoking. It's very startling. It's VERY clear that we NEED to take action! But, I agree that it fails miserably in exposing the LEFT/RIGHT paradigm. If we can make all the citizens realize that ALL OUR GOVERNMENT in a "Party Allegiance" is doomed, we might get better results and more of a common rallying point. Obama still has MILLIONS of defiant and dedicated supporters that are not aware of the danger he is. Villianizing HIM and propping up Republicans at the same time is not going to succeed in getting the numbers we need!
It's a good thing to have debate. And I'll get bashed for this. That's fine. But, please realize. If we don't have strength in OURSELVES, on here? Then it's over! Reinforce and clarify and TRY TO HELP SOMEONE THAT IS ASKING FOR IT!

I think we definitely NEED an informative film that cuts to the chase on how these 2-parties are hanging their constituents so we can pry these party die-hards, and especially those on-the-fence, to realize their party allegiance is a swan song!

on that note, i probably could have posted my thread in a manner that was less damning. i sometimes forget how upset people get when you shine bad lighting on their man. the constructive criticism message is lost upon a shot messenger. and so i blame myself, mostly.
in any case, i will re-iterate the fact that propegating the al-gore-says-he-invented-the-internet lie is the epitome of ignorance and divisive crass. also, back-handing the left, (and thus propping up the false right/left paradigm), is certainly to the benefit of very few. and, finally, presenting alan watt as alan watts was probably no mistake, either.
if spreading information is what he desires, then he should have done some screenings, firstm so that low-hanging fruit like the ones i mentioned could have been picked off before being released in the public domain. i can only tell you what my experience was, and this video screams "you are powerless." that to me, is the last thing we need.

This thread is a full on smear of Alex Jones on a personal level. This is why people resent this thread. This thread basically drags it's boots over everything that we are working towards.
Whether you like Alex Jones or not, whether you like his style or not, this documentary was incredibly informative, and nails what is wrong with the country.

The problem is you are expecting Alex Jones to serve up in a two hour documentary every fact pertaining to everything that ales the nation, on an agreeable silver platter.
Fact is, it is your job to enlighten your girlfriend enough to be able to understand what the NWO is, not Alex Jones. Every friend I have is fully aware what the NWO is, because I took 5 minutes to explain it to them, and what it means for there future. The NWO has already been extensively covered by many people, including Alex Jones.

Again, credit belongs to Chordchaser for the many hours he put into creating this dvd. I helped edit (probably 10 cuts) before the final version went to duplication and then sent out the orders. I am in it three times so I will take credit for being a co-star and of course my daughter is in it as well.
Going through my emails today from back then (12-07) brought back many memories. I wish we could recapture that vibe again.
