Iran's Oil bourse inaugurated today
Iran launches oil bourse
Mon, 26 Oct 2009 21:40:32 GMT
Iran has launched an oil bourse on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf for trade in crude and petrochemical products.
The new international exchange hall will offer 40 kinds of oil products.
"The inauguration of the hall will enhance Iran's strategic position in the region," Bourse Organization Chairman Ali Salehabadi said on Monday.
Salehabadi, who is also the chairman of the Tehran Stock Exchange, stated that Iran produces over 25 percent of the total output of petrochemical products in the Middle East.
At least 30 domestic companies and 20 foreign firms are active in the oil and petrochemical industries on Kish Island.
The first phase of the bourse kicked off in 2008.
Iran, which possesses the world's second-largest gas reserves and third-largest oil reserves, is making efforts to play a more active role in oil and petrochemical transactions in international markets.
The Islamic Republic also wants to encourage local investors to participate in the oil market as it tries to reduce the state's role in the country's energy industry.

The Iranians have been pretty patient
Lindsey Williams warned us that they'd do it in '06. Wonder if FOX "news" supposedly in the dog house, will cover this any different than the other networks. Anyone who would react to this already knows, so the cats out of the bag. My guess is that the fake economy/ stock market will just keep getting manipulated and the sheep will keep getting lulled into a false sense of rebound growth until its time to pull the rug. Unless Dr Paul has his way, the Fed gets exposed and WE pull the rug ourselves. Can we pull our own FRN bourse? Id love to see the look on their face when someone runs into their planning room and says "The American people have just dropped the dollar!"
On an island?
Why on an island? Anybody know?
Hmmm....
So why isn't our media reporting this on the news, or on the internet...
I don't think I have to tell you all why. I am so frustrated with the American media right now, it makes me want to stand up and stay...
"I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore"
Just wait....
Just wait till they demand payment in gold and the only country that can buy oil is CHINA who is stocking up on gold. The middle east produces 70% of the world's oil. Iran produces 70% of the middle eastern oil. Our dollar is worthless due to our freakish spending habits.
So, when OPEC demands payment in gold...which they have discussed....and the USA has none, we will be in the mist of an oil crises like that of ww2.
The future looks pretty bleak when the prefect storm seems just off in the distance. Dollar collapsing, high demand for gold, no jobs, nearing a draft and infrastructure collapse. I can see rationed gas due to inablity to ship oil to the USA for money reasons.
Return our Republic to its roots.
Iran completly drops the dollar...
Iran to completely drop dollar from foreign exchange
Iran's Trade Promotion Organization has announced a near future plan to completely exclude the US dollar from the country's foreign revenues and reserves.
Iran has recently asked Japan to replace the US dollar with the yen in oil deals it has with the Islamic Republic, Mehr News quoted the organization as saying on Friday.
Since October 2007, Iran has received 85 percent of its oil revenues in currencies other than the US dollar and Tehran is determined to find a substitute for the US dollar for the rest of its 15 percent of oil revenues, the report added.
Iran suggests other currencies such as the euro and the United Arab Emirates' dirham to replace the US dollar for oil revenues.
The constant declining value of the dollar and persisting economic crisis in the US has forced many countries to drop the currency in favor of a more stable and valuable one.
Saudi Arabia, South Korea, China, Venezuela, Sudan and Russia have taken steps to replace the US dollar in their foreign exchange reserves.

Does anyone have the article about the Iranian Oil Bourse from a
couple of years ago? I can't remember where I saw it and I kept it for along time until I gave up on the theory. The article talked about Iran and Iraq threatening to use a different currency other then the dollar for the Oil Bourse.
Found it, thanks
