Long time viewer, but this is the first post I've ever made.

Just called Franks office and spoke with some one who identified herself as Alyssa. I asked why 1207 is not going to the floor for a vote, as it has overwhelming support. (308 co-sponsers) She said just because they co-sponser it doesn't mean they'll vote for it. They just co-sponser it because they want to debate it. She was not what I would call warm to my call.

Anyone who is real familar with procedure please explain if shes blowing smoke or is it likely that co-sponsers will not vote for something they co-sponsered. Thanks

I called both offices, they don't care. Barney Franks office did recommend a discharge petition. I read up a little on it. Is there a reason this has not been pursued?

A large majority of citizens want Ron Paul's, HR-1207, audit the Fed to the floor for a vote, it currently has 307 co-sponsors, but Barney Franks and others are giving great resistance to what the people want. According to his office, I was told that with 307 co-sponsors it has no chance to pass.
Nancy Pelosi's office will not even discuss it with you, Her office will transfer you to a Recording or hang up on you. Are our representatives really representing us?

The Daily Paul website is having a contact "bomb" on Pelosi and Frank's offices.

I added the contact info for the House Committee on Financial Services as well. They need to be contacted too. Focus on Frank and Pelosi first, but if you have time, contact the committee as well.

what the status of that bill is. The assistant said she didn't know. I communicated that it was pertinent that the American people have knowledge of his plans. She again said she didn't know. I said that he didn't represent her, but he did represent this constituents and therefore he had a duty to them to notify them. The bottom line is that Barney Frank most likely doesn't want to take action on this bill and if he does, he is doing what he can to not tell us what that action is. His constituents should be writing letters and demanding answers on this bill.

Financial Services AND....the bottom line is that Barney is holding up that bill, both holding up the possibility of markups or giving it another hearing or presenting it to the house. Sooooooo, calling Barney Frank's office is where the real power is on hr 1207. He is evidently refusing to take action and therefore needs to be asked WHY????? and he needs his RP constituents to write a letter demanding explanation so that we, as Americans, can know what he has planned on HR 1207. By the way, what are markups?? They are amendments that the committee members can pop on this bill to nullify its meaning, so calling these committee members, if this is on the future agenda would be very important.
