Speculation Mounts Over Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Bid

Alex Jones “completely confident” Texan Congressman will lead grass roots resistance against new world order agenda by running for President

CNN and the L.A. Times are speculating that Congressman Ron Paul may be about to announce that he will run for President in 2012 following the revelation that the Texan will speak at rallies in two key early caucus states next month.

Paul will visit the key early primary state of South Carolina on Nov. 9 to give a speech on “the future of individual liberty and the importance of the U.S. Constitution” at the University of South Carolina. He then moves on to Iowa, another key early presidential battleground, on Nov. 13 to speak to students at Iowa State University.

“This morning speculation was rife that South Carolina, which holds one of the early primaries in the presidential calendar, could be the launching pad for a new Ron Paul bid,” reports the L.A. Times’ Johanna Neuman.

CNN are also speculating on the announcement, asking “Will Ron Paul give it another go in 2012?,” adding that Paul beat one time frontrunner Rudy Giuliani in last year’s South Carolina primary.

Alex Jones commented on the story by pointing out that 2012 would be the perfect time to Ron Paul to launch his second bid for the presidency, following the massive grass roots success of the first campaign. Jones successfully predicted that the Congressman’s son, Rand Paul, would run for the Senate after he challenged him to do so publicly, which led the incumbent Senator in Kentucky to announce that he would not run against Rand Paul.

Jones said that Paul is the only candidate who will inject real issues into an otherwise sterile debate format and that with the world government takeover unfolding at rapid pace, the timing could not be more prescient. Jones urged Paul to announce as early as possible, preferably before February 2010, so that the maximum amount of momentum could be put behind the campaign and fundraising could start early. Jones recalled that the Congressman was surprised at the level of support that was generated behind his 2007-2008 campaign, but that this had been predicted by the Austin talk show host from the beginning.

could you imagine how many

could you imagine how many yard signs could be posted Ron Paul 2012

YA!!! Hoo

It doesn't matter if he wins or looses it's how he plays the game!

Ron Paul will run. It is obvious to anyone who knows him.

RUN RON RUN!

Debra Medina for Texas Governor 2010!

Rand Paul for US Senate in Kentucky!

Ron Paul 2012, Join or Die!

DONT TREAD ON ME

AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN - WASHINGTON'S CRUISERS

Not Obvious at all

Dr. Paul doesn't want to be president. He doesn't want to run the country. He doesn't want to run our lives.

If he runs, it will be because we are irresistably behind him, but I think he'd prefer someone else do it. We should be looking around for a good candidate.

Also, it is far, far, more important to change the composition of Congress. The president is a temporary figurehead, not a permanent solution.

IMissLiberty

Please no Johnson vs Paul

Not as in I hope they both don't run, having both men on the Republican ticket and on stage fighting the neocons will be great.

But if this place turns into a rivaly between the two I will be turned off big time.

I think the Baldwin supporters bashing Barr would have done alot better bashing McCain and Obama on other blogs than to spam this great site, same for Barr supporters.

I just hope the sides are respectfull and we both agree that if one drops out we support the other. There is nothing to fight about between those two, fight the Huck, Palin and Romeny sheep.

Paul/Johnson 2012

That's my prediction and remember this post for future bragging rights!

E Pluribus Unum

I hope you are right...

Ron Paul 2012 for Peace

"will lead grass roots resistance against new world order . . "

Be prepared to be marginalized with this rhetoric.

How about, "will restore the dream of the founders" or something positive.

The term New world order should not be part of a campaign.

Ron Paul WILL run for

Ron Paul WILL run for President in 2012. You heard it here first.
Start saving your dollars so we can give him a huge war chest when the time comes.

Dr Paul is no spring chicken

Dr Paul is no spring chicken and a presidential campaign is grueling. Although his message is simple and many of us have it down very well. None of us are him. Much more needs done to get more spotlight on his best students and leaders.

Paul wins... what would ole Lindsey have to say then? lol

The Liberty a society retains is inversely proportional to the number of Lawyers in the Government.

I am very encouraged to hear

I am very encouraged to hear this. How ever, there is this tiny detail called elections, like I believe we have seen the last of them. That is why Congress does not give a rats ass about how and what they vote for/on. Opinions form some others please???

Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."- Thomas Jefferson

If he runs......

I think I would ask for a leave from work to contribute to the grassroots on the campaign. Working on setting myself up right now so my place is mortgage free in a couple years so this could be feasible.

-------------------------------------------------------
Peace, Freedom and Prosperity. Not War, Welfare and Bankruptcy.

------------

I really think he could win, IF......he will sound a little

tougher in his tone against radical muslims and the threat that the present to civilization. We all want our troops home(defending our border), and out of foreign lands, but he will not win by repeatedly saying that. He will never get the typical southern voter. Now if he said, we will pull out, but if we are ever attacked you can expected the full force of our forces, that might win him some major votes. People that aren't in his camp always say the same thing now, and that is that he is to weak on defense. That of course is wrongheaded, but he could offer a different approach here and possibly be high on the choice for 2012. My 2cents

Never Gonna Happen

The whole point of libertarianism is that we are not groups. We are individuals.

IMissLiberty

I agree.

Paul has an image problem with a certain segment of conservative voters, mostly the religious and/or authoritarian conservatives. He needs to word his rhetoric to make it plain that he is for a strong and swift military defense. He needs to drive home the point that the military is good and necessary, but that it is being misused. He'll educate a key segment of the voting population that, in a Republic, the military is to be a defensive force, not an army of imperial conquest and that states should have their own defenses.

He needs to appeal to security, a topic of importance to those conservatives I mention above by saying that we are less secure with our military gallivanting all over the world and with no troops in the so called "homeland" just as there were no legions in Italy when the barbarians would descend and sack Rome.

And, of course, I know Dr. Paul will eloquently make the financial argument that we just can't afford it. However rational an argument this is, it won't work with certain people. With those conservatives we're trying to win, he needs to come across as decidedly pro-military (Yes, I do know that he is pro-military, and that the troops support him, but he's not coming across that way to certain people).

I don't think Paul should buy into the demonization of Muslims, he should simply make it clear that we are prepared to meet any threat no matter from where, but as a free people.

Finally, I'm really excited about this. Could we really see a President Paul? That would be great.

Good Points

It wouldn't hurt Ron Paul to go see some troops. My guess is he'd receive a lot of support. Supporting our military means not sending them into senseless wars to be killed or maimed.
His support among evangelicals is nil. It wouldn't hurt him to go to some churches and express his Christianity. Show them he's not satan.

manwith4kids~ He is for a strong defense!

He said if we are attacked we should declare war! You cannot declare war on "terror" terror is a tactic..not a country. He was for going after Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan but not for invading and occupying Iraq.

This is why he had more support by donations from the military than any other candidate. They trust he would not go to war without a declaration of war and he would keep our military strong and take care of our veterans!

There are radicals in every country, religion and race...but that does not justify killing millions of innocent people including women and children that happen to be in the same region.

Oh man

this is getting exciting!

If Dr.Paul came forward and announced his bid for president

I believe beyond a doubt he would have to win. His ducks are more in a row now than 2008. The Repub party are loaded with Paulites are already into gear.

Huge spike of media interests seeking his responses to many issues since after the Obama election has exposed him to a huge portion of the masses that didn't even have the benefit of hearing what he had to say during primaries.

He will be elected by far as one of the most popular presidents since the founders.

Do not trust Alex Jones

Sure he seems to be backing our cause, but his loyalties and sanity are questionable.

The one thing that stands out the most against AJ is the lack of growth. I've watched Sean Hannity from his earlier days...he grew, became more polished, etc. All the talk show hosts became more confident sounding...thus, more persuasive to a larger audience. AJ has not. He still sounds like a nut running a radio show out of his basement...as if he is acting out a specific role to control a specific audience.

I'm not saying don't listen to him...just don't trust him.

Those who grow more comfortable amidst an insane system

are the ones to be wary of.

You appear to have it backwards.

So, are you saying that you

So, are you saying that you trust Sean Hannity?

I believe Dr. Paul will run

I believe Dr. Paul will run again because it is a win-win situation. We have won huge because of his last run and our reach is expanding. If he runs again...we educate even more which is a win no matter what. This is a movement and we will move the debate even more...still a win. If he were to win the race...another win. No matter what we win and I think Ron knows that deep down.

I sent an emial to DR asking him to run

maybe most should sent an email, fax, phone asking him to.

If RP runs, think we can do a $10 M money bomb in 24 hours

..............................................................

how about 100 million $

That would be the top story in MSM for weeks!

set it at 10 M when thats reached set it at 20 M

and so on, how about that, say maybe 100 M in 10 days?

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Please learn a LESSON from the past and STOP reaching for the "impossible" number. If we don't hit it, we are a failure and the news loves nothing more. Don't shoot us in the foot with ridiculous numbers. The first money bomb was the one that went over the top for whatever reason. I think every single one after that shot us in the foot. Stop doing that to us.

Reach for a great number and then let us spontaneously overreach it. That is excitement instead of failure.

well

I am thinking the higher aim we set the more money can arrive...well...the MSM will come up with all bunch of lies anyways no matter what happens - but we simply need as much money as possible - we need excitement.

There are ways to build enthusiasm and get the money

without setting the goal so high that we cannot reach it. This needs to be really hashed out and done in a better way than last year. The first one was a novelty. Do you remember the nail biting that happened when we did not reach our goals time after time?

There are limit goals and then there are the more the better goals. Like Michael had a budget that he needed to meet for his $6 or $7 thousand. But the more Ron Paul gets, the more we can advertise around the country. So it needs to be handled differently.

I agree

we have a bigger base to get money from a lot of new people came to the movement after the elections...in the past the latter money bombs kind of bombed because people saw that he can't win anymore - so they were not willing to part with their money anymore.

yes - we have to find the best approach possible.

an idea - how many Founding Fathers signed the Constitution?
This many millions of dollars we should aim for?

I am completely confident that Paul will make no

such announcement. He would take away from his son's campaign in this election cycle.

As usual AJ is full of crap.

Paul himself has said he has no intention of running again.

Until he hints that he may change his mind, the odds are he will not run again.

Check out this quote from AJ ...

"Jones successfully predicted that the Congressman’s son, Rand Paul, would run for the Senate after he challenged him to do so publicly, which led the incumbent Senator in Kentucky to announce that he would not run against Rand Paul."

That is so filled with complete fabrications I do not know where to begin.

WAHOR!!

Speaking of predictions

How are those Olympics coming in Chicago? Oh, that's right.....they aren't.

I will take AJ's predictions over yours ANY day.

I hope to rub your nose in the RP 2012 prediction as well. For the good of the country of course.

Disagree

It would ADD to Rand's run.

agreed

agreed

Damn-it Rhino

Agreed

AJ go away!

I can hear it all now- AJ will say HE was the one who inspired Ron Paul to run or he'll spread some phony story about Ron Paul running. There is just no limits of AJ's ego.

No doubt, like the Sheen "interview", this will be the "greatest announcement of AJ's career"....except AJ will get his legion to believe that what he's telling them is true when in reality it'll be some truth mixed with lies all designed only to increase his listenership.

I can hear it all now- AJ will say, "make sure this goes viral".

Who cares

Who really gives a rats patooty. Let him brag. We can all see through that. If AJ hasn't learned humble, then he is a fool.

All I care about is hearing an answer from Dr. Paul.

I hope he opens up to outside help...

His staff killed his momentum in Iowa and New Hampshire. New Hampshire has been THE graveyard for many a worthwhile campaign. Dr. Paul also must insist in any debate he attends he receives a much "face time" as the anointed front runners; otherwise, he should set up alternate debates. In 1968, when Hubert Humphrey was running a poor second or even third in some polls, Humphrey refused to debate George Wallace, calling Wallace a "bigot". Humphrey campaign received a huge boost, and Humphrey never looked back, narrowly losing to Richard Nixon.

You don't win by asking them to accept you. You win by convincing them to join you.

Wallace WAS a bigot.

The historical record on that is perfectly clear. Wallace got on the national stage by trying to deprive black citizens of services they were paying for.

-jcr

Maybe the money from the grassroots should not go to his head

quarters. Maybe the grassroots should do the advertising this time. Maybe we should let them tell us what they would "like" to have done with the money, but perhaps we should hold onto the grassroots money and make sure it goes to advertising instead of high paid salaries.

Run to WIN.

I don't think

he was running to WIN last time. I don't think he was ready to WIN.

I certainly would hope that this would be totally, totally different this time.

Couldn't agree more Bob-45

That goes for Jesse Benton too.
He needs to let a pro handle this kind of work, not cointelpro....
