It never ceases to amaze me how many folks here still continue to focus on the packaging rather the importance of the message. I guess TV programing is just very hard to overcome for lots of folks even patriots.

Jesse Ventura is a unique individual and a great statesman. I'd like to see him take on the pretenders in 2012 as an independent.

I confess I didn't know much about Ventura, except that I found him a bit odd, but likeably so. I knew that he had been a professional wrestler, and I guess I once knew about the Navy Seal association. I also knew he had been on Alex Jones' radio show. That was a bout it. I don't know how he did as Governor of Minnesota, but I guess he was tolerated well, if not liked.

But this interview was a new Jesse Ventura to me. I like this guy. He is self-effacing, candid, smart, funny and stalwart.

The info was not surprising in the least.

He talks about this in his book.

If you cannot tell a patriot when you see/hear one, check your indoctrination. You "strain at gnats while you swallow camels". You have to struggle to miss the point.

I can understand the reasons you may be put off by him here, his appearance, the way he acts, his history as a wrestler, ect.. But keep some things in mind: He was a Navy SEAL and a Governor. SEALs are smart, cunning, and sometimes ruthless. They work closely with all branches of the government, including the CIA. None of us know how many times as a SEAL alone he may have interacted and worked side by side with the CIA, let alone being a Governor.

As an active duty Marine grunt, I can attest first hand to how truly patriotic members of the military can be, and on the other hand, how corrupt the leaders in government organizations can be.

Be a critical thinker, but don't underestimate this guy, and don't write him off just because of his appearance. SEALs are cut from a different mold than you and I.

now if that interview could only be on the nightly news....America would really come to love Jesse!!!

The line between Jesse 'The Governor' and Jesse ' The Body' Ventura is too thin.

Do you see how he constantly rocks back and forth? What is that a sign of? Any body language interpreters out there?
